im about to go off to college in acouple of months and was thinking of getting a small inflatable raft to fish from.  It cant take up too much space cuz ill be in the freshmen dorms. i wouldnt mind a small trolling motor too but can do without.  I want to keep it as affordable as possible.  Im kinda new to inflateable boats so i wondering what advice i could get.

What about a float tube???  They are small and can easily fit inside a dorm room.  Obvioulsy you won't have a trolling motor, but they are cheap and take up little room.  Just throwing that out there.  Good luck in school!!

Google Sea Eagle.  They make some great inflatables.  I use the Sea Eagle 9 motor mount boat.  It folds up pretty well, but is probably still a little big for a dorm room.  You may want to check out one of the smaller motor mount boats.

Be sure to buy a 12 volt Coleman air pump!

Have you checked out the folding boats(Porta Boat). I have an 8ft Porta Boat and it's great. It folds up to 4 inches thick, 24 inches wide and 8ft long.

A new one has a nice price tag. They come in 8ft - 14ft. I got my off of Craigslist for $200.00.

They are worth the money. Very sturdy and well made. You can hit rocks and won't rip a hole or dent it. Only takes 4 bolts to put it together. I put a 5HP Briggs on my. I take it everywhere, camping, hunting and fishing.

Sounds cool.  I went to the website, looking for prices, and they wanted me to fill out a page of information before I could get a look at how much they cost.  That's usually a red flag.

I believe they are priced around 1200.00 and higher.
