Leaving aside the 4" straight tail in murky water thing, any of them as long as you have a jar of chart. dye. You should hit the water, they are biting in MD.

Don't over think it.  Stained water use black/blue.  Clear water use natural colors such as green pumpkin, watermelon, browns and whites.

Again, I most likely wouldn't be using one of those in murky water (maybe as a trailer on something), and I would dye some or all of it, but as is of those colors, the Ice White.

Does white work? If you go to the top I was deciding between those.

My color advice was more general is scope.  If you're talking flukes specifically I only use Pearl with the SK Caffeine Shads.  It works for me in every water color.

What he's saying is he wouldn't use a fluke at all. In murky water, you want something that is more easily spotted by the fish. A finesse lure in dirty water is like a blind guy trying to find butterflies. He'd have an easier time finding a rattlesnake by sound and you'd be better off throwing something that makes a bit of a racket and is more flashy.

Ya, a fluke in dirty water is asking NOT to get bit. Need something that gives off some vibration...twin-tail grub at the least - craws, paddletails or something similar would be much better.

I swim a zoom superfluke paddle tail all the time...in dirty water...and catch fish. 
 

But yeah you really wanna go with vibration or noise in dirty water.

Also, saying 'murky' or 'dirty' is really subjective.  How many feet visibility do you have?  In my experience Flukes work great even if it's only a foot or two of visibility.

What most folks call 'murky' is what I'd call clear ? If I can see my trolling motor head, that's pretty clear water where I fish. It's not 'murky' here until a white bait disappears a few inches below the surface.

 

I wouldn't fish a fluke in it, but I wouldn't fish a fluke in almost any water so I'm not a good person to ask.

I guess those days of trial and error are long over. Putting in time, learning about water conditions, getting the fundamentals of baits down, working on your own techniques and building your own self confidence are a thing of yesteryear. But fishing and catching are still two different things? No?
