I think of 1/4oz and less as "smaller".

Booyah colorado single spin 1/4oz is good quality for the price.  Smaller than that is the Booyah Pond Magic which has a willow/colorado tandem.

There's also the Mann's Hank Parker classic which I think is a double colorado and comes in a 1/4oz size.

A spinnerbait isn't a confidence bait for me but I knew it would be a good option for this past weekend's trip up and down the creek. I was looking for white bass and spotted bass and found both on a chartreuse Booyah Pond Magic. Really impressed with this bait, especially for $2.99 at Academy.

One of the best small spinnerbaits ever made was Don Butler's Original OKIEBUG S.O.B. Spinnerbait.  They're dynamite.   My bet is your bass have never seen one.

Check out Nichols on tackle warehouse. They make fantastic baits..they run true, have great colors and are compact compared to big brands like war eagle and booyah. Price is a little higher at $9 but they are also more durable in my experience. Nichols has become my favorite brand the past few years and I'm a spinner bait freak.

I reallly like the SK 3/16 SBs (which the LMM is). I like it better with the tandem combination (like the bleeding bait ones) or I change out to a single #3 or 4 colorado (with a little solder on the shaft). It's what I tie on for folks who "never catch on a spinnerbait" when I take them out.

I want to like the Booyah pond magic, but it's just too light. sure I can mod it, but at that point I'm where the Stanley small fry shines. The War Eagle finnese spinnerbaits are a good ones too.

I really gotta stop watching "giving away secrets" videos...

BPS Crappie Spin, or Booyah Pond Magic.  I fish them on a ml/f with 6 lb line.

If you need one bad and quick the Walmart $1 spinner baits work. They have them in Colorado blades. Theyre 1/4oz and pretty compact.

I've had one of these sitting in my box forever but never used.  I usually use the Siebert Compact double willow.  Do you normally use a trailer with the OKIE BUG?

War Eagle Finesse isn't exactly a Colorado bladed spinnerbait, but it's the best finesse spinnerbait I've ever fished.

It's been years since I used one myself. As I recall, I fished them without a trailer.  The smaller size and those tiny blades were killer on bass that were used to a parade of 3/8 oz. spinnerbaits.  Size is one way to change up your baits and make them stand out above the rest.

Stanley's Vibra-Shaft 1/8 oz double Colorado

With the Patented Tapered Wire, the  1/8oz. Vibra-Shaft is unmatched in water displacement. Moving more water with less effort makes a great spinnerbait.

I would add only one thing to this. I would buy direct off Nichols. Far more options off their website and option to create a custom spinnerbait. There are 1/4 oz single Colorado’s available in metal flake colors.

Thanks for that info I've only ordered them from Tackle Warehouse.

Right on, these things are fire.  I get more bites with them then bigger spinnerbaits and the quality of the fish is just as good, not to mention they have a higher hookup ratio.  Theres 1 thats completly red, I think its called fire ant and this time of year its deadly.  I prefer the single colorado over the tandem willow.

If you want 1 thats closer to a standard size but still somewhat compact its tough to beat Zorros long arm Aggravator.

I like these as well.  I like to swap out the blades for Hildebrandt blades.  They are heavier and provide a much better thump than most standard blades.  Some of your better brands use Hidebrandt blades.  I like a double colorado on a 1/4 oz spinnerbait with a 3.5 on front and a 2 on the back.  A single 3.5 is good too.  I love a single no.4 colorado blade but you’d have to use at least a 3/8 oz head or it won’t run strait.  If you want the thump, get the Hildebrandt blades or buy a spinnerbait that had them.  I think Nichols started using them.
