What is a lure that the Bass can’t resist?

I fish in places where I know people have caught bass. But I’ve never caught a bass and I really want to so I figured I’d ask a lure or even a bait the Bass can’t resist.

Senko's or a reasonable facsimile seem to work more than most. 

I'm partial to some sort of swim jig.......regular swim jig, chatterbait, underspin, even a straight paddletail on a weighted keel hook.

Depends on how weedy the area is.  A texas style rig would be better in thick weeds.  Otherwise a wacky rig is the better option.

In addition to live bait that's already been mentioned, crappie jigs, Rooster Tails, Beetle Spins. These are also good for a mixed bag.

5” Senko. 1/0 octopus circle hook. Wacky rig. You may not catch a bass every time, but you will catch bass on that. Guaranteed. 

 

Cast it out. Let it sink on semi-slack line. If it stops before it hits bottom or you see the line running, lift the rod tip up 45° and reel it the line until the bass hooks itself.

A weightless 5" Senko black blue fleck or a 10 inch power worm in blue fleck. They will bite either one of those guaranteed!

I will definitely let you know! Thank you I will have to pick up some circle hooks.

No such thing exists, despite all the infomercials and ads trying to convince me otherwise...if it did, no one would ever get skunked, and there would be little need for fishing forums like this ?

Roland Martin's Helicopter Lure... just make sure nobody sees you using it if you're easily embarrassed. If you do use it, follow the included VCR video instructions to a tee.

What we fish, might not be as important as where, when & how we present it.

While some effective baits have been recommended here so far, 

might still be tough sledding if the above, is not at least considered.

When the bass are agressive? Chatterbait. 

 

When the bass are being stubborn I would go with the senko weightless. 

 

5/0 EWG hook, any brand works really just make sure the hooks are sharp. 5 inch senko in either Green Pumpkin or Black n blue but the most important part is the retrieve twitch twitch fall for about 10 seconds and repeat the twitch twitch many bites will come on the fall so watch the line.

If you weightless Texas rig them, it will work (although I prefer 3/0 or 4/0). The 1/0 octopus circle is a much better hook for wacky rigs than a EWG.

5/0 is too big imo. Negatively impacts some of the bait action. Gary recommends a 3/0.
