I have always been either straight mono or braid to leader guy. I tried fluorocarbon line once many years ago and hated it. It was a cheaper one and was before I knew how amazing line and lure was on all lines. I've decided to spend the money and get tatsu. My question is 10 vs 12 lb . This will be light cover and open water fishing, not flipping brush piles. It seems bizarre that the 12 lb is $10 more. I also believe that flouro handles better in lighter weights correct? This will be on a casting setup w a tatula ct reel. Help a flouro newb out and school me on 10 vs 12

Well considering we have no clue what baits you are going to throw with it, here are my thoughts. If it has a single hook like a spinnerbait, chatterbait, jig, etc then I would go with the 12. Actually I use 15, but you didn't ask about that. If you are throwing a jerkbait, lipless, squarebill, etc. then I would go 10.

Agree with JB.

Nice part is - BPS/Cabelas currently have Tatsu on sale - $40 for 12# or 15#...that's $10-$15 off regular price.

I currently have #12 lb. InvizX on my treble hook lures (lipless , square bill cranks) . I believe #12 lb. InvizX is pretty thin line diameter so as previous posters indicated : For single hook lures like spinnerbaits , chatter baits , swim jigs , T-Rigs , etc. I believe #15 lb. InvizX is the right choice . Lastly , If I was new to FC line I believe I would try InvizX or Sunline Sniper first (bait cast reel) as Tatsu is expensive (even on sale) as well as you have no experience with good FC yet - so InvizX and Sunline Sniper are VERY good FC lines to try first . *Wild Card* : A lot of Yo-Zuri #12 lb. line users here (including me) ... Do not over look this cost effective  line for a lot of reaction bait applications .

I use 10 lb FC for jerk baits, shaky heads.  12 lb for cranks, and 12 # Yo-Zuri (which is the thickness/strength of 15 lb fluorocarbon) for chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, etc.
