I was completely unaware of the many Japanese casting reels!   Models with names I’ve never heard of!

before Covid body-slammed the planet we had a trip to Japan planned.  Obviously it got cancelled.  We will have do-overs one day.   Japanese knife?   Nope.  I’m going to a fishing store for my souvenir.

I wonder if they have fishing guides. :)  ?

Oh boy. I felt a disturbance in the dark side of the force, lol. Some of those JDM reel look so amazing, simply a beautiful combination of function and form.

Are there Japan fishing guides?  There's 10001 MAD snappy answers for that one.

The Japanese make our fishing niches look downright preschool - Plat lists 22 different classes of rods, but the Japanese have that many niches in offshore alone, from XUL to XXH.  They were also a fishing culture for 1000 years before the old world discovered the new.

And I can't imagine not bringing home a Japan knife.
