On this day in 1990, Bob Crupi pulled this 21 pound behemoth from Castaic Lake using a live crawdad for bait. About a year later, he caught a 22 pounder from the same lake.

Note: Is it me, or does he have some tiny hands for a grown man, LOL.

I don't know. The few times I met him, he never offered, and I never thought to ask.

Must have been too busy with my 2nd grade homework to notice this achievement in 1990. Incomplete Homework = No Nintendo. 'Twas a simpler time. ?

It seemed like it was always a race to see if you could get on a spot in there in the spring. I caught my PB in there too, but on the west bank right on the corner of the cut on that side.

That wrist wrecker pistol grip definitely dates this photo. Glad we don't use those anymore.

This day in 1990 I was likely turning wrenches on a 737-200 at BWI. Six months away from turning the Big 3-0. And I thought THAT was old!

Was living in Ingleside Texas 20 minutes outside of Corpus Christi. Was either doing homework or in the bay pulling on some speckled trout with my dad..who at that time was younger then I am now. Some of you guys don't think 1990 was that long ago..but when your only 37 its forever.

I caught a 4lb smallmouth using one last year- an old Lews Speed Stick. Wrist wrecker is very accurate!

That was my local lake back then.  Bill Lamb taught me how to bass fish @ Castaic in a tournament.  I caught the big fish, 6 lbs, $108, and I think we came in 4th.  All Bill wanted to do was beat Don Iovino and we did.
