TriStateBassin106 Posted March 5, 2021 Posted March 5, 2021 I have a bunch of sweet beavers I want to use as trailers, one is pictured below but my problem is the length of the trailer and what length should it be? Should the entire appendages including the little side ones be exposed past the skirt? It kinda makes the jig look very long.. or should the side appendages be buried a bit under the skirt with only half the appendages exposed? (Like pic below) Quote

Global Moderator Mike L Posted March 5, 2021 Global Moderator Posted March 5, 2021 Looks alright. If you want a more compact look then move it up. Either way When the skirt opens the appendages will be exposed from top to bottom anyway Mike 1 Quote

(Like pic below) here is a pic of my jigs, the top one is untouched, the other two i trimmed, note that i trim the skirts so the neck flares out and then i thin out the bottom strands and make it uneven looking. I also trim the weed guard back. Quote
