I was fully vaxed by March (moderna). since I work with seniors I was able to get it earlier than my age. With that said, I still got Covid in July. It is NOT 100% BUT I think it lessened its bite on me.

Despite having history of some respiratory issues that run in my family, it seems like the bullet Covid shot at me just grazed me.

I was asymtomatic for the first 5 days before any symptoms showed. I was thinking and wondering how in the heck I tested positive. ?I looked and felt normal those 5 days. I was ticked, lol. I did stay home and followed the state guidelines. At its worst, I was blessed to only have experienced cold symptoms. Sniffles, and coughing. That’s all. No breathing problems, no fever, no sore muscles. Matter of fact, if I didn’t get tested to know the result,  I would have thought all I had was a cold. ?

It got me thinking, shoot. I was contagious and would not have known it and spread it to others unknowingly. Goodness gracious, how many would have my same condition and also unknowingly spread it too? I don’t know if this would be an arithmetic or geometric progression, but dang. This has the potential to go wild and bad quickly. That was nuts.

If you are also fully vaxed, let me dispel any illusion you might have if you believe you’re completely immune or that you can’t get infected or that you can’t spread it, because you can. You can get infected and you can spread it.

If you experience any cold symptoms and not flu symptons, just get tested to confirm. If not for yourself, then for your loved ones in your circle.

Peace out. Go fishing and remember to keep your line wet.

Just got my booster today!  Absolutely no side effects whatsoever.  I will let you know if that changes tomorrow.  But it seems with each shot, it gets easier.

Pro tip: hang your arm down by your side when they give you the shot. You're less likely to have soreness around the shot area that way!

Also got my flu shot 2 weeks ago.  Felt a little tired and worn down the next day, but that was all.  Guess the flu shot is worse than the Covid shot....at least for me. :)

Because we had to fly to the states to get the shot, my wife an I opted to get the single dose J. and J.  as soon as we could in May.  I'm glad we did.  Since getting the shot I have known 3 people that have died from Covid that were younger and in better health than me and many more who were older.  Almost all of the Mexican workers and their families at the local marina where I work got Covid, one died, and many were very sick.  One was a very fit man in his early forties that I hire as a deck hand once in awhile.  He was on oxygen for 6 weeks and almost died.  Three months later I hired him for a three day trip.  I had to take him in to port after a day because he still couldn't handle the physicality of the job.  My wife and I had zero side effects and have been Covid free.  It is depressing to see families here wanting to get a shot, but not having them available even this late in the Pandemic.

I got mine in July. My fiancée is a medical worker and was able to get hers early, and she felt like crap for a couple days after each shot, worse after the second. Due to my schedule (work and vacation schedule, don't wanna be sick on vacation) I wasn't able to get mine until July. I basically fell asleep around 8pm the next day after each shot and that was it.

I haven't got Covid lately, but I haven't really been a social butterfly either.

I'm fully vaccinated and boosted.  I lucked out getting my first shot.  It was back in March and it was difficult to get an appointment even though I was over 65.  My sister called me and said she had heard on the local news that the VA was giving the vaccine to all eligible veterans.  She gave the number and I called and they told me to bring my DD214 and ID and come in so they could determine if I was eligible and to schedule an appointment.  I showed up early Monday morning, the first day they were doing the vaccinations, with all the information, and after about 20 minutes of answering questions I was deemed eligible, but the clerk couldn't make the appointment.  I had to go to the third floor where they were handling the vaccinations to make one.  There was a short line and I got in it.  A VA employee handed me a sheet of paper to fill out.  I asked are if this was where I make an appointment.  She looked at me and said, "Don't say anything."  After a few minutes, I found myself in a cubicle and instead of making an appointment, I was getting the vaccine.

I didn't have any reactions to the first two, other than a sore arm.  I just got my booster last month at the local CVS.  Maybe it was because I got my flu shot at the same time, but the next day after going out for a couple of hours.  I got home feeling like I got hit with a truck.  I was tired, and all my aches and pains that normally hurt individually started hurting at the same time.  Took an industrial strength ibuprofen(800 mg) watched a couple of football games and was feeling fine by dinner.  I still where a mask when I go into stores, out of paranoia and courtesy(it's also required here in Philly).  Getting the first two allowed me to spend a week in the Poconos fishing with my buddies(all vaccinated) and make a trip to Canada for a week of fishing.  Life is getting close to normal.

I got my booster Wednesday night at church.  I’m technically not eligible but they have a lot of vaccine that will expire soon so they will give it to anyone.

Other than being a little tired with a bit of a sore shoulder, it’s all good. The nurse explained the potential side effects of the shingles vaccine are similar to that of the COVID vaccine and recommended not getting the two at the same time. So, second shingles shot in two months and I won’t be worrying about the shingles or getting another shingles vaccination.

Our state just opened up the booster shot for all ages about a week ago. I believe I'm eligible for it now.

Same here. Although as of Friday, boosters are now fully authorized by FDA for the general population 6-8 months after your initial dosage. I’m currently 7 months since my last dose so I signed up for one on Wednesday.

The wife and I are heading to get our boosters tomorrow. I don’t hang around many people at all ( work by myself every day), but I’m not taking any chances with the way cases have skyrocketed lately. It’s a pretty simple thing to do to help out both ourselves and others around us.

Pfizer booster a month ago with no ill effects except a bit of a sore arm. Went fishing afterward.

Gal at work told me 9 months ago that she "probably won't get a shot, I dunno"

She went to the emergency room last week and had a rough go of it. This also forced any employees who had contact with her to miss work and get tested. Thankfully I work alone most o the time.

I’ve been through the double shot and booster. Moderna. I’ve had side effects with all 3 shots. It sucked but only lasted 24-48 hours. I’d heard of the side effects so it was no surprise.

I was on board with it almost right away. But to each his own. I’d rather be fishing, hunting or shooting clays. Took my chances with it.

I've been sick a couple times but never tested positive. I've had 2 antibody test done for free through work and don't show any antibodies so I assume I've never had it.
