Super User NHBull Posted March 7, 2021 Super User Posted March 7, 2021 I have had more random breaks on 30# smackdown than all other braids combined. Given the availability of top shelf braids, it isn’t a big deal 1 Quote

Keri and I been using Smackdown for years on baitcasters - specifically for pitching - without any issues at all. I have 100's of hours of video footage to prove it. Not saying you're lying. But rather it may be something you're doing with it that's causing it. Maybe how/where it's stored, or using a certain type/brand of leader, or...? fyi, I don't use leader. So maybe that's why. I love Smackdown on a spinning reel. Quote
Super User WRB Posted March 27, 2021 Author Super User Posted March 27, 2021 Update, now 3 outings using both 12 on Tatsu jig fishing and 20 lb SmackDown drop shot and weightless Senko’s. I really like the Tatsu FC, excellent line. 20 lb Smackdown works good with drop shot weights 1/8 oz+, less weight not so good. The problem is I should have used 10 lb. with 5 to 7 lb leaders. Using 3/16 oz weight and 5” Senko’s it’s performs good. Best drop shot bass was today 6.4 lbs in 15’ of water, everything else was 2 to 3lbs lots of fun. Caught a 5.1 jig fish last trip, tough jig bite. Tom 5 Quote
Dens228 Posted March 28, 2021 Posted March 28, 2021 I'm still waiting on my Tatsu order from TW. I'm looking to give it a go on my jig rod. Quote
