ga_hawghauler Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 I was just curious which new bait to come in 2006 do you guys think was the best or most productive bait. This could also be an old style bait in a new color or style. Quote
Guest the_muddy_man Posted December 3, 2006 Posted December 3, 2006 This suspending bait by far Quote
Lightninrod Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Sandra Bullock :-? Surely you've lost your mind MM ! Matt's Ultimate Bluegill! Dan Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 4, 2006 Super User Posted December 4, 2006 http://www.sugarlandmusic.com/start.asp I didn't have any new 'best" bait for fishing this year. The Fat Ika was dominant again. However, I had excellent results with the Rapala X-Rap, so maybe that's a new "one of my best" lures for 2006. Quote

Garnet Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Allways late to the program...........Gulp. Garnet Quote
Hawgin Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Where the sweet beavers new in 2005 or 2006. I didn't start using them until '06 so that would be my choice. Actually though I no longer use the reaction innovation ones, I use the berkley beast and I know it was new for '06. Quote
Super User fourbizz Posted December 4, 2006 Super User Posted December 4, 2006 I'm with Avid and Lightninrod Quote

Super User SPEEDBEAD. Posted December 4, 2006 Super User Posted December 4, 2006 EasyChatterbait What he said. What they said. I agree with this one too, you probably also gotta add the swimming senko in there somewhere...good chance of being a big fish catcher. Wayne Quote
justfishin Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 Ditto on the Chatterbait, they were a great additon and I had a lot of luck on them this year. Hmmmmm, I didn't use a X-Rap yet. I guess I will have to add that to my---I am going to throw more cranks and hardbaits next year. What is their appeal? Quote
Super User Gatorbassman Posted December 4, 2006 Super User Posted December 4, 2006 That's a tough one for me. I used a little bit of everything. I guess I could say I rediscoverd the lipless crank bait all over agian. Quote
Super User MALTESE FALCON Posted December 4, 2006 Super User Posted December 4, 2006 IT WAS ONLY NEW TO ME, BUT ROADWARRIOR GOT ME TO TRY THE BOMBER "SQUARE A", WHAT A GREAT LITTLE BAIT. THEN I FIND OUT THEY DISCONTINUED IT. OH WELL, I GUESS I'LL TRY THEIR MODEL "B". AS I'M PRONE TO DO, I DIDN'T BUY A CHATTERBAIT UNTIL LAST WEEK. NOW I HAVE TO WAIT UNTIL NEXT SPRING TO TRY IT OUT. justfishin Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 The Sandra Bulluck suspender works but, I tend to like the Anna Kournakova or Catherine Zeta Jones better. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted December 4, 2006 Super User Posted December 4, 2006 X-Rap and Fat Ika. I don't know when the Ika came out, but this was the first year I used them, so they're on the list. The Ika was my best bait this year in warmer water. The X-Rap gets the nod for colder water. Cheers, GK Quote
kbkindle Posted December 4, 2006 Posted December 4, 2006 one bait it wont be is the chatterbait they are junk next year the will be giving you a $5 bill when you buy one kb Quote
Super User flechero Posted December 5, 2006 Super User Posted December 5, 2006 Matt's Ultimate Bluegill! Dan Thanks a lot Dan... now all my "regular" Matt's blugill series seem crappy. I should have Matt invoice you directly for me, as your post is going to set me back about $100. :'( Quote
Daniel My Brother Posted December 6, 2006 Posted December 6, 2006 Another vote for the Chatterbait. It's the only "new" lure design I can think of that actually produced fish. Everything else is just a new way of presenting an old concept. Quote
