Has any one bought them? And if so how did they perform out on the water? I have my eye on the Lews Xfinity Speed Spool baitcaster combo to upgrade the combo I have now. I have watched a few videos on it, read the reviews and they pretty much are all positive. Right now there's a sale on it at Walmart and instead of being 97.99 its 70 bucks. Has anyone here tried this combo?

I have the Lews speed stick light spinning combo 6’ and it’s great. No problems. It’s my panfish rod.

It should be ok, but I'd go with a Aird-X and a Black Max, if you shop around, you should be able to get it between $80 and 90. even at MSRP, hard to beat.

I'd go with a President over the Max - but ya, the Aird-X is a good rod at that price point. I started with Aird-Xs as my main rods, and will still have two in the rotation this coming year.

I have the Hank Park rod, another Lew's Walmart product, not a bad rod. I have not used that specific set up but I would say it will work for certain applications. Get it and do a review for us.

For $40.00 it's a nice rod. The 7 ft. MH is a bit of a meat stick but a good value for sure.

That is a great deal for an aluminum frame reel. I like the Academy Mettle for that reason.

I would pass on that deal. Not a fan of the graphite frame. Considering the cost of the Winn Grip knobs I hate to think what they cheaped out on to get the cost of that combo so low.

I don’t have that combo but I would rather get the Lew’s LFS combo instead.

from my own experience, most cheaper combos are functional but not ideal.

I don't see how this combo could be an upgrade from any other combo.

I have a lews mach II combo I bought on sale a couple years ago. it rarely leaves the garage.

One thing to keep in mind is a single magnetic braking system takes a trained thumb to cast consistently.
