What experiences have you had with the Shimano Company regarding the warranty replacement of a broken high-end rod?  Also, in the event that you are responsible for the broken rod, does Shimano offer a reduced-price replacement program similar to Dobyns, St. Croix or G Loomis?

I’m not sure how they handle the Shimano/G Loomis relationship but I broke a G.Loomis Conquest this fall and all of my communications, emails, etc. were with Shimano.  They agreed to replace under warranty without any issues and the confirmation came from Shimano.  Simple process...filled out the form with a short explanation, shipped the rod per instructions, and received a reply within a reasonable time.  However, I just don’t know whether they have different processes/standards for G Loomis v. others.

Good luck is all I can say. I have had 2 replaced in the past, a Zodias and a Crucial. I broke a Poison Adrena in October 2020 and shipped it back with warranty filled out and receipt. I have yet to hear a single thing from them. I have probably sent over a dozen emails and nothing.

I broke a Crucial and they sent me a new Curado rod which is a nice rod but is a step down in quality.  It did take awhile but they were limited in what they had and had very little warehouse staff working.  Overall it was a good experience.

I’ve used their warranty many times in Canada.  Really quick to answer the phone and ship out a replacement.  The first time I broke a rod by accident. They asked for a copy of the receipt and pictures.  Then they shipped me out a replacement rod of the same line up and let me pic a different model in that line up.  I shipped the broken rod back in the tube they supplied and they covered shipping both ways.

ive also called them and replaced older model rods or well used rods with broken guides.  They charge you 50% of the MSRP and charge $15 shipping.  They’ll let you pick any model in that line up that you’re upgrade and you just send back the old model with the tube the new one comes in. Their warranty has been quick and flawless on all accounts
