Organizing these new Plano Edge tackleboxes in anticipation of the season! Who else is doing this?

All winter long... I’m bummed I just had 4 lurelock boxes show up broken from shipping. Trying the deep models with 3 levels of storage. Just filled one with lipless cranks and will load another with squarebills tomorrow. Am trying the mesh laundry bags instead of ziplocks for soft plastics this year. I’m always amazed that each year I think I’ve mastered tackle storage and the next year I change it up again.

Swapping all my storage over to these bad boys, love the design and the efficiency of them.

I use the Edge jig box and am happy with it.  For terminal tackle I use the Bass Mafia Bait Coffin 3700 deep.  The small plastic bags come from an arts and craft store called Michael’s and I use a label maker to mark the sizes on the bags.  I can put 3-4 items in each slot so I can keep everything in one box.

Guilty as charged boss, I need to pick up a 3600 terminal box and 4 3600 sized flex boxes, maybe another box or two for other things, but these things are great, glad I went with them.

Fish year round so organization is a perpetual battle. I don't use the Edge boxes I use the Plano Pros. I'd rather spend the $ difference on rods, reels, lures, etc.

Just finished re-org everything.  I like the plano EDGE 3700 thin, and both the 3700 and 3600 terminal boxes.  I was negative on them at first, due to thinking that all those bins were going to store less and be slow... but I was wrong.  I'm not using all of the weight  bins... only 4 of 8 I think.... They don't hold much and they take up a lot of space.

I also really really like the jig box. I replaced two older falcon jig boxes with one edge jig box. Impressive.  The 3500 size is super small, but works perfect as a Punching specific terminal box, a finesse jig head box, and a small split shot carolina weight box for me.

The deep edge boxes are meh... I've got a couple and packed them full of lipless cranks.

You should also note that the FLEX series boxes are deeper than the standard boxes.  I like their flexibility, but don't like their depth... their too fat.

Also Hook bins only fit in the thin style boxes... the plain thin 3700 and both the 3700 and 3600 terminal boxes.

I'm putting a few of the Worm Stowaway boxes into rotation. I realized that some techniques force me to find and open 2-3 different trays. With these I will have my go-to baits and their properly paired terminal all in one box. Much more time efficient on the water.

Reorganized my Planos last week. Edge and prolatch, all 3600's. I have one (maybe two) more edge boxes on my shopping list. I need to get my hands on a flex box

How many bags can you actually stuff into those boxes?

Looking at the link it says 8. I’ve gotten into the KVD speed bags. They’re really nice and come in two sizes that hold 20 or 40 bags of soft plastics.

You're going to average four bags of baits per side, so about 8 per tray.

Yeah, 8 is accurate. I've got other storage solutions for holding the full collection. This is just to quickly have the baits I'm throwing most of the time quickly accessible along with specialty terminal. For example, I have a toad box with my favorite toads and their toad hooks. Also have a tube box with their special hooks and weights. These worked so well last year that I'm expanding this concept.  So I'll have a punchbox and a fluke box.

Switched over to all Edge boxes this year. So far I really like them. But like was said above every time the bait monkey delivers I rearrange again.

Sounds like a good idea!

So I thought that the Edge stuff was mostly just hype, but I got a tray to try out and they are REALLY nice. Don't know if I can afford replacing all my trays, but I certainly understand the draw now. ?

Organized all my stuff tonight with my 7 year old daughter.  Was an absolute blast.  So much stuff that I needed to get rid of and make room for my newer stuff.  Hard to let go of some stuff but knew it was for the best.  Highlight of the night was making her take big whiff of a bag of Jackall Cover Craws.  Smell hit her like a ton of bricks!

I have the Plano Edge jig box and like it a lot! You need to time the purchase of these Edge boxes when they go on 1 day flash sales on Amazon for half price otherwise you could spend some serious coin buying these boxes. I also bout a 4 in 1 Lure Lock system that is really slick and I was able to fit all of my crankbaits in it, thinking about buying another one for my lipless and jerk baits, that sticky gel really holds and the baits look nice all lined up in a neat row without sliding all over the place!

At first glance I said why would anyone store their rods like that... Wow. What an Idiot.  Then I realized I was the idiot...again
