Ok I’m curious on this if you mainly use 4 techniques do you bring two rods for each one for example do you bring two jerkbait Rods and have one for deep and shallow or different colors/actions or just bring one and cut it off if needed

I've been using a VMC Touch-Lok Snap, size 1, for most of my crank baits and jerkbaits.  I normally remove the split rings, but they often stay on the jerkbaits depending on how they've been performing.  It's been a quick method for dialing in color for me as of late.

So, no, I normally have one rod per technique.

I mainly use 4 techniques (Jig, Chatterbait/spinnerbait, Frog, Swimbait) and carry 3 rods

Are you fishing out of your boat, or out of some one else's boat or from the bank?  For me - it varies.

I haven't bank fished for 25 years, except to stand near the boat ramp and throw different baits just to see what they look like going through the water.    When I fish out of some one else's boat, it just depends 4 or 5, maybe 6 rods with different baits depending on current conditions.

When I fish by myself out of my own boat 20 rigs or so seems to be the rule these days.  Which 20 or so rigs go depend on a couple of things - A - How do I think that I'm really going to catch fish that day and  - B - what rigs do I want to play/experiment with.

For instance - I will play with an A-rig in the middle of summer, not because I really think I'm going to load the boat with the A-rig, I do it mostly for practice, because should I ever get into a situation where the A-rig is the ticket I want to kind of know what I'm doing.

I’m bank-bound so I usually take 3 rods. Always a jig, usually a t rig plastic, and then some kind of spinner bait/buzz bait/ swim bait setup.

When I can stay near the truck I’ll add my crank bait setup. Or I’ll take it instead of the spinner setup depending on where I’m headed.  But I like to travel light balanced with travel setup to fish situations.
