Super User DitchPanda Posted February 24, 2021 Super User Posted February 24, 2021 Got one of these and was wondering what's the best way to stop the squeak? I read petroleum jelly works well...one thing said olive oil but that sounds strange and messy to me. Could use WD40 but don't want my bedroom smelling like a maintenance shop! Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted February 24, 2021 Super User Posted February 24, 2021 Has no smell, stays in place, & lasts. A-Jay 2 Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted February 24, 2021 Super User Posted February 24, 2021 Reel Grease. Stay away from oils, they tend to drip out. Quote
Kev-mo Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 silicone spray!! also wd40 is really not a lubricant vegetable oil will oxidize and become sticky and crumbly we tried the spray lithium grease on the hinges at work and it was okay but i prefer the silicone spray Quote
