Kenny Yi Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 Hello, I'm Kenny, 19, Leesburg VA area, bank angler. After nearly five years of never fishing, I was finally bored enough and picked up the rod and reel last September. I've been hooked ever since, pun intended, and now fishing never leaves my mind. When I was young (aka when I had freetime) I would go fishing all the time, taking a medium spinning rod, some light spinnerbaits and my bag and go fish my community ponds (yup only spinnerbaits, no worms or other plastics). Now, I'm ready to cement my comeback with a new arsenal of baitcasters, lures, and gear. And with spring around the corner, i am going to fish the heck out of this year. My go-to lures as of last fall and winter are: Spinnerbait Chatterbait Light and heavy t-rig SWIM JIG (best producer) Finesse jig Drop shot Frog Neko 4 Quote
CountryboyinDC Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 Welcome Kenneth. Lots of DC area folks active on here. It's a hard area to fish without a watercraft of some type, but some folks find a way. There are all kinds of clubs to help you find like-minded people in the area. Quote
