walt-14 Posted February 23, 2021 Posted February 23, 2021 Thoughts on using these in early spring? Picked up some dirty jigs swinghead jigs last fall and was wanting to use these this open water season. Suggestions for best trailers to use with these would be awesome as well. Thanks fellas. Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted February 23, 2021 Super User Posted February 23, 2021 SK Rage Bug on a swinghead produces for me up here on brown bass early, mid season & late. Always have one rigged & ready. A-Jay 3 Quote
Super User ChrisD46 Posted February 24, 2021 Super User Posted February 24, 2021 Just watch your retrieve speed and maintain bottom contact . In colder water things are not moving extremely fast (you just have to play with the retrieve speed a bit and find out what the bass want) . Quote
Bassin.Drew Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 I love them, from 1/4 to 3/4. I use them on deep rocks and on beds as well. I like a craw bait but have had success with swimsuits and long worms as well 1 Quote
Swinghead Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 As you can tell by my name...I use them often. All year. Jig it or swim it across the bottom. My favorite. Quote
Super User WRB Posted February 24, 2021 Super User Posted February 24, 2021 Berkeley Jester was designed for swing heads. Tom Quote

The Strike King Rodent is another one of my favorites and seems to catch my biggest swinghead fish in cold water. 1 Quote

I got some homemade swingheads from @Bluebasser86 , first I’ve ever tried this presentation. It seems pretty easy, get it on bottom and move it along....... and all of a sudden I’m catching bass. I’ve even caught fish with it while it was falling through timber 3 Quote
