Super User jbsoonerfan Posted February 22, 2021 Super User Posted February 22, 2021 I would opt for 15 or 20 lb braid on a ML rod with a leader if you prefer. I think your odds greatly increase with these two changes. 2 Quote
dam0007 Posted February 22, 2021 Author Posted February 22, 2021 I tournament fish, anything under 1/4oz immediately goes to spinning. I don’t have the patience to mess around with the BFS stuff. Ordering a second one of these 70s. Theyre going on a pair of flipping sticks and I’m not looking back. First outing if they don’t feel like they’ll work out they’re going on a pair of smaller pitching rods. Boggles my mind there aren’t 1,000 YouTube videos on these such a awesome reel. Quote

dam0007 Posted February 23, 2021 Author Posted February 23, 2021 I wonder why they changed name from Technical Grip to Power knob? Prob to separate em by end cap. ... Knobs that come on the 70 are very similar in size and a hape of the previous Gen Tatula knobs. Not bad at all. Quote
Bassin.Drew Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 I REELy like the look of this reel. I am saving money to buy one of these someday! 1 Quote
Quarry Man Posted February 24, 2021 Posted February 24, 2021 looks to be a serious upgrade from the previous 70. Might find its way onto my new jig rod soon 1 Quote
