Kenny Yi Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 This isn't something I've tested, only just thought of it. I would imagine a knot like a Palomar (or any knot with a tag end going away from the hook) would be most applicable for a rizzuto finish. I'm simply wondering whether ya'll think it would make a knot stronger/weaker and whether people even do it. Of course, this would be with braided line. Quote
Super User Team9nine Posted February 18, 2021 Super User Posted February 18, 2021 My guess is that it would not directly affect the strength of most knots, but it might affect (help) knots that tend to slip under heavy pressure due to the slickness of braid (“lock in”). Quote
Super User Deleted account Posted February 18, 2021 Super User Posted February 18, 2021 I go with the Yogi Berra finish... Go Yanks! Quote
MGF Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 It doesn't seem like there would be room when tying line to lure/hook, would there? LOL, I never knew it had a name. Quote
