I started watching it with my wife and it was about chess. I thought this will help me get to sleep. It only took about 2 episodes for me to get sucked in. It was actually quite good. Thats a great show . I binge watched it all in one day . 1 Quote
Super User A-Jay Posted February 17, 2021 Super User Posted February 17, 2021 Longmire ~ This American modern Western crime drama television series premiered on June 3, 2012 on the A&E network, never watched it then. Developed by John Coveny and Hunt Baldwin, the series is based on the Walt Longmire Mysteries series of novels by Craig Johnson. I'm seeing it on the Outdoor network. A-Jay 5 Quote

They just weren’t that funny to me , compared to the old shows. I tried watching Big bang theory a few times and don’t remember laughing once. Judging "modern sitcoms" by Big Bang Theory is like judging the taste of "beer" by drinking a can of boiling hot Ice House that has been sitting in the woods for 20 years. 2 1 Quote

But I knew I would. I like westerns, modern westerns and western scenery. And I had already read the novel series. The showed pretty much followed the novels. 1 Quote
Super User N Florida Mike Posted February 18, 2021 Super User Posted February 18, 2021 I like Longmire too. 1 Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted February 18, 2021 Super User Posted February 18, 2021 Another vote for Longmire. Justified hooked me. It’s on Prime. Lucifer is on Netflix. That is the craziest thing I have seen in a while. The Devil decides that Hades is boring, so he moves to New York City, where he owns a nightclub, and works as an unofficial consultant to one detective solving murder cases. There is some unexpected humor built that comes at you from odd angles. Recommended. 3 Quote
The Bassman Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 Never watched an episode of Seinfeld during the 90's but have seen the reruns enough that I know them by heart. Quote
throttleplate Posted February 18, 2021 Posted February 18, 2021 The walking Dead, all episodes before the sheriff character rick grimes left the show. Quote
Super User Koz Posted February 19, 2021 Super User Posted February 19, 2021 Some shows that I can watch over and over again include Psych, Monk, and the Doctor Who episodes with David Tennant and Matt Smith. I have Amazon Prime and they have some great original programming. Some of the shows that surprisingly sucked me in to binge watching were The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel, Sneaky Pete, and Goliath. Quote

You know maybe you gave a show a try without much expectation or stuck to it with mixed feelings a few episodes in and ended up loving it? For me a show that sticks out like that is Frasier. Had a buddy watch it last winter all the way thru on Hulu and he ranted and raved about how funny it was. So me and the old lady usually pick a new show to watch during winter since I fish constantly the rest of the year and lets be honest there isn't much else to do here in winter. She was all for trying Frasier based on his recommendation and for the fact that we had watched Cheers all the way thru the winter prior. Well I reminded her that Frasier was my least favorite character in Cheers but she insisted so I gave in. A few episodes in I was feeling exactly like I thought I would...the characters seemed stuffy and snyde and I was not enjoying it to say the least. Well I told her I would stick with it and at some point I got sucked in by the humor and character dynamic. Before I knew it we were 4 or 5 seasons deep and I realized I liked it more than Cheers. Anything like this ever happen to you? You're in luck. They are doing a reboot of Frasier. https://deadline.com/2021/02/dr-frasier-crane-kelsey-grammer-reboot-paramount-plus-1234699954/ Quote

It was fun to see the character pop up on the Arrow CW show as DC Comics had a big crossover event.
