What is a good color for up on the Tennessee River this time of year on Nickajack? Red or Green Pumpkin?    Thanks in advance winter fishing is tough, but still fun ?

Ain’t fished nickajack much but I don’t like either one of those colors haha. I’m a purple, black, and/or blue kind of guy. Or any bait that moves I like white

Hahah! The water is actually faily clear up here in Knoxville so green pumpkin may be ok. But that is subject to change between now and Saturday!

Are you launching anywhere on the upper end? People are catching big smallies up that way but then again they always do, just few and far between for keepers . Also there’s lots of spots up there to maybe fill a limit then go for monsters

I sure don’t but plenty of spots are caught cranking along the rip rap below the dam. You might have to sort through a lot of drum to find the big bass haha. I think the big smallies are always biting there but it’s usually 1 or maybe 2 if you’re lucky

Two 8lb smalljaws will work just fine!
