I recently read an article concerning the old Wiggle Warts. In the article, it mentioned a molded stamp on the bottom of the originals. Can anyone tell me what I'm looking for?

I just looked at mine.  I have some dating back to the 70s.  All I could find was on some of the very oldest ones, nothing.  On others maybe as old, maybe not, Wiggle Wart.  And on the newest ones, Storm.  Does this help you?

I've never seen a stamp... mostly just printing that consists of little dots.

Newer:

& even printed suspending on ones that came with suspend dots:

Yep, The wiggle wart stamp is what you are looking for. The post Rapalas  have Storm stamped under the bill. If they are repaints you usually tell by the seem where the 2 pieces are joined together on the original.

The older ones had “wiggle wart” under the bill

Now, I'm an old guy, almost 75 years old.  I have a bunch of the old Wiggle Warts, both mine and my dad's.

They are cult baits.  Some people value them dearly, really dearly.  The prices some people are willing to pay for a lure that cost under $2.00 new is amazing.

They are good lures, but they aren't magic.  There are time when the new WW's will out fish the old ones.

I've had good luck on the Rock Crawlers.  There are time they outfish either of the WW's.  I like the look of that new 6th Sense Curve.

It's still a lot more where you throw, than what you throw.

I totally agree... having no knowledge of the internet forums until later in life, I never knew  that old warts were $$$$$.

Having bought with my own money when I was13-15 yo, and using them like reg. lures,  I read a thread on that "other" forum about what prices they were fetching I think around2017-18. WOW

I went through and selected ones I haven't used in years, researched for hours, and sold them for a "fair price" at the time. (fair to me was astonishing since I paid less than $2 and sold most for $50-60)  I did have one of the most sought after ( I don't remember exactly now since It was a while ago, but I think it was color 65, I might be wrong)

Mine had a slight blemish so I priced it at $65, it sold instantly and later was IM'ed that I probably could have got $90 for it. It didn't matter to me, I was happy with what I got for it, I wish the best of luck to who bought it! But Yes, old Wiggle Warts are a cult following.

I only sold 6 and purchased the equivalent of 25 other lurers, I call that a win to me.

The RK crawler is a bigger heavier and deeper bait than the wart , Really 2 completely different baits. The curve has a different retrieve than either .

There was a time around here when they would get off the wart and on a deeper bait usually the Deep Little N. The RK Crawler has filled that niche.

If they are tight to the bank the Wart is still the better bait IMO. As they move out then it's time for the RK Crawler. Then there's a third that doesn't get talked about .

Not every pre Rapala wart runs right , but the new ones don't sound the same no matter how good they may or may not run.

I've been unfortunate enough to be in the back of the boat when the WW bite was on fire on Table Rock in a tournament. I was a teenager, didn't have a single one, might as well left my rods at the dock because all I was doing was netting fish. They are magic when someone who knows where and how to use them is on a good bite with them. I'm sure the old man I was paired with is long gone because he was grizzled and smoked like a chimney. I remember his name was Butch (he looked like a Butch), and he didn't talk so much as he growled. I don't remember how much he won by that day but it wasn't even close.
