This is supposed to be a year round list but I only fish from mid April to mid October so it's my year.

1. Senko in green pumpkin

2. 1/2 ounce vibrating jig in green pumpkin with a green pumpkin paddletail trailer

3. squarebill, Lucky Craft in Ghost Gill

4. 3/8 ounce white and chartreuse spinnerbait with a white paddletail trailer

5. 3/8 ounce brush jig in green pumpkin/black with a green pumpkin super speedcraw trailer

Number 5 was a tough choice because I had to leave out a drop shot bait and a topwater.

Well if I take 5 rods on my kayak, I will likely have something like the following rigged up..

1) Dropshot or Ned Rig

2) Jig and/or T-Rig

3) Spinnerbait

4) Squarebill

5) If I don't have a jig and t-rig, you a jerkbait or popper would be likely.

What are you guys' top 5 confidence baits that you know you can almost always catch a fish on. You need to be able to do it in the wind and in the sun and during any time of the year.

My 5:

Small colorado spinnerbaits (3/8 oz and less)(yellow and black or chartreuse and blue)

Bomber square A (apple red crawdad or baby bass for very pressured, clear water areas)

Yamamoto senko (fading watermelon or gp purple copper flake)

Berkley power grub (black for pressured areas and firetiger for when fish are active and not finicky)

Strike king bitsy bug jig (1/4 oz)(watermelon or cajun craw)

I like Yamamoto 330 other then that nothing above.

I like this topic. Mine would be:

1. Chatterbait (Black and Blue has been the best for me)

2. Creature bait T-rigged (Okeechobee Craw is my fav)

3. Paddle Tail with underspin (White Pearl, or Shad color)

4. Stick worm (whacky or T-rigged) I like Watermelon red, Black and Blue, and a Blue / Green pearl

5. Lipless crank- (I have caught a ton on white, red, and sexy shad)

I have been thinking about trying the underspin with a white paddle tail. What kind of underspin do you use? Paddle tail type and size?

You didn't ask how big, and you didn't specify where I'd fish. So ......

   1) Eppinger Dardevle Spinnie, in chartreuse or hammered nickel.

   2) #5  Mepps Aglia, in silver, firetiger or pink platium.

   3) 3/4 oz. Johnson Silver Minnow in silver, with a white spinnerbait skirt for trailer.

   4) Zoom Salty Super Fluke in baby bass.

   5) Rapala CRR5 Crankin' Rap, in silver (disc.)

1.  Ned Rig year round.  Z-Man TRD PB and J or Coppertrues

2.  Whacky stick bait.  Weighted or unweighted, depending on the mood.

3.  Bladed Jig.  Either Z-man or Siebert.

4.  Original Scum Frog - $3, look like crap, fish love them like no other frog.  Try them.

5.  A cheap-o Bass Pro Shops square bill.  It dives 1 foot max.  I have caught more on it than all other cranks combined.  I have had it for 5+ years...It came in a bundle of 4-5 cranks.  I don't think you can buy it outside of the bundle.

I forgot about zoom fluke, pearl white....I give it honorable mention I guess but it should probably be number 5.

I use 3.3 or 4 inch paddle tails with just a basic underspin hook like this.

I use rage swimmers, mostly. They work well with about any paddle tail.
