Luke Barnes Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 What have you NEVER caught a bass on? Especially popular lures that get alot of praise. I'll start. Never have I ever caught a fish on a hard jerk bait or never caught a fish on the wacky rig. Quote

Jaderose Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 I've never caught a bass on a 1973 AMC Gremlin. Well? It's true! What's that? Lures? Ooooooooh. Dropshot. I have never, ever, caught a bass dropshotting. Waaaay too boring for me to bother with. 1 Quote
Super User NorthernBasser Posted February 6, 2021 Super User Posted February 6, 2021 Carolina Rig. Tho it may have something to do with that fact that I've never fished it. ? 2 1 Quote

A-Jay Timing has to be right to throw those but once you catch one on a glide, man you'll never put it down! Very addicting bite! 7 minutes ago, NorthernBasser said: Carolina Rig. Just always think I have better options. 1 Quote

Super User BrianMDTX Posted February 6, 2021 Super User Posted February 6, 2021 Never ever on a hard jerkbait, lipless crank, square bill or a frog. But...as of March 2020 I never ever caught a bass on a plastic worm of any type, a spinnerbait, a jig, a fluke, any topwater, a craw, and I’m probably omitting something. And all those “never evers” are now dust. When someone is looking over your prostrate body and ending his words with “In nomine Patris et Filii, Spiritus Sancti.”...that’s never ever time. Until then, keep casting!!! 1 Quote
Dens228 Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Never caught a bass on a jointed glide bait........... And yes I have a few and have used them......although not much. Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted February 6, 2021 Super User Posted February 6, 2021 Whopper plopper...to be fair I finally got one last year and only threw it a few times. I havent caught much on a drop shot....I'd much rather throw a Ned. Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted February 6, 2021 Super User Posted February 6, 2021 Red Eye Shad...Any other lipless crank and "FISH ON!" Quote

Luke Barnes Posted February 6, 2021 Author Posted February 6, 2021 Forgot about the carolina rig. Ive thrown it on three outings and nothing. If I did get any bites I couldn't detect them so I gave up. Quote

813basstard Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Ned. But I threw it for around 18 minutes. But in those 18 minutes I felt I couldn’t get bit in 18 hours so I didn’t anymore. Quote
ironbjorn Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 I think I've caught a bass on every bass technique that I've actually fished, but I don't think I'll ever pick up a spinnerbait again. 1 Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted February 6, 2021 Super User Posted February 6, 2021 Swimbait that wasn’t on a bladed jig or Arig. Quote

I feel ill! My buzz-bait failure stems more from using it just a few times with little immediate success. I used to be like that with spinnerbaits. Having put some serious quality time into it, it's became a goto lure for me. It's the bane of having too many lures with you. If there's no immediate success, you switch to things that work for you instead of having the patience to learn something new. Quote
