Jonas Staggs Posted February 6, 2021 Posted February 6, 2021 Not the prettiest thing. I could have probably used one swivel if I angled it correctly but it works really good. Dunno if it will catch fish though. 1 Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted February 6, 2021 Super User Posted February 6, 2021 I like the thought process and the wheels are spinning, but have you tried to put a plastic lure on it? ? 1 1 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted February 7, 2021 Super User Posted February 7, 2021 Some would call that Tennessee or Mississippi rigged. Might work, but it's still ugly. 1 4 Quote

But hey, if it works, use it. Let us know if it works. 1 Quote
Super User Jig Man Posted February 7, 2021 Super User Posted February 7, 2021 It is similar to the whiz jig. 1 Quote
Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted February 8, 2021 Global Moderator Posted February 8, 2021 Get some shrink tubing and use that instead of braid to clean it up a little. 1 Quote
Jonas Staggs Posted February 9, 2021 Author Posted February 9, 2021 So it failed lol. Too long, kept getting wrapped up in between the hook and underside of the bait. It would still spin but would bump the bait and stop/start spinning. 1 Quote
Super User Jigfishn10 Posted February 9, 2021 Super User Posted February 9, 2021 Did you try eliminating the swivel and snap that attaches to the blade, then attach the blade to the first snap? 1 Quote
Solution dopey Posted February 11, 2021 Solution Posted February 11, 2021 Jigfishn10 nailed it - attach the blade to the first swivel with a split ring, and then either tie with heavy thread the swivel to the shank of the hook or as others have said shrink tubing 2 Quote
Jonas Staggs Posted February 13, 2021 Author Posted February 13, 2021 That sounds like it would work much better. I had it so long because the swivel couldn't swim properly because it was pointing straight down rather than at a backwards angle. Funny thing is after fishing it, it worked it's way loose and to a backwards angle. So I was able to remove the 2nd snap swivel and it works fine now. Although I will still think replacing the snap with a split ring is going to work better. Quote
