Well I am getting to the point where I am really starting to dislike the guys on here that live in the warmer areas of the United States, and all their bragging about fishing!  ?. Glad someone is able to fish right now, if I tried to put my boat in the lake right now it would most likely just bounce! ?. I live vicariously through all you southern boys in the winter!

We had a snow and ice storm here today. In the coming days starts about a week stretch of teens and below zeros. Fishing season feels out of sight.

He’s right it sucks all you mostly do is sit in a shack, drink beer, catch no fish, and blast a heater to stay warm. You might as well just stay home and drink beer instead.

Then there's the issue of soft wall tent style, or hard-wall garden shack style. If the latter...where do you store it during soft-water season?

Well a lot of the newer models double as a summer RV with air conditioning now but ya you definitely need a place to park it.

Not really, the sun doesn't shine an hour longer. You could set your clock 3 hours forward if you want, doesn't mean there was more daylight.

Late risers get the extra...us early risers lose it off the morning...so no difference in total.

You all mis the point that working folks work by the clock.

Bass can’t read a clock other then the Cosmic Clock that never changes regardless of the political climate.

Peace!

It's difficult living in an area where all the ponds freeze over but not thick enough to go ice fishing.

Hmm, maybe I'll go organize my tackle again...

We're dropping to below 0F here. But, yes, the days are noticeably longer. In fact, we just hit peak daily rate change -what I came to call the first day of spring at this latitude. And the start of the winter to spring transition. First male finches singing a few days ago (when it wasn't 0). And we had our first cumulus clouds forming too. It's comin' fast now!
