GetFishorDieTryin Posted February 3, 2021 Posted February 3, 2021 Ive been using Bubbling Shakers for years, probably my overall favorite do anything worm. I had ordered a bunch of replacements and I noticed that the Bluegill color is now more transparent then the older ones. Its subtle, but definitely noticeable and when held in front of a light the difference is obvious. The new baits were in 3", I imagine the difference will be much more noticeable with the bigger shakers. Did anyone else notice this? Quote
Super User FishTank Posted February 3, 2021 Super User Posted February 3, 2021 I haven't even heard of this bait. I have seen several like it but it's new to me. Quote
Super User Fishes in trees Posted February 4, 2021 Super User Posted February 4, 2021 I don't have a problem calling tackle companies out of the blue and asking to talk to someone about their products. Very occasionally you get blown off by the secretary, they'll tell you that e-mails are responded to in a more timely manner than phone calls are - I don't know. Many other times I've talked to people who were very interested to talk to me about their product. I called that guy who makes Megastrike products , (Bobby Urich I think) about some jig heads on close out on their web site and we ended up talking for 20 minutes or so. So, with that in mind, I wouldn't hesitate to call up the soft plastic company and ask about the color change. If they confirm it, for whatever reason, then at least you'll know you aren't seeing things. 1 Quote
MAN Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 They could have changed suppliers and/or just don't have strict quality control standards in place? Do you think the change will effect the performance of that bait color now? Quote

If your not happy with the product he makes it right and then some. Quote
GetFishorDieTryin Posted February 4, 2021 Author Posted February 4, 2021 It could be that they just changed the plastic 3 hours ago, MAN said: They could have changed suppliers and/or just don't have strict quality control standards in place? They probably changed the plastic formula or just the color for whatever reason. The difference in color isnt night and day, but its noticeable on the little 3" baits. Once you get to the 4 and 5" the difference could be much more significant. The original bluegill was a cloudy smoke, the newer ones are more translucent. Odds are it wont change the effectiveness of the bait. I just dont know why they would change one of there most popular colors. Quote
Smokinal Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 My favorite thing about those is some of the packages come through reading "Bubbring Shaker" Not even kidding Quote

The Paddre Tair Worm is another good 1. They dont have Ls in their alphabet, so it comes out like an "R" like,...Herro... 1 Quote
