Hi Everyone, I ran across a couple Orochi's and they were so new and perfect that I couldn't resist buying them all 3 of them... It's way too cold to really get out and fish them so I wanted to get some input from some of the experts here. I have the EMTF, Tour Versatile, and Diablo-R and basically wanted to see what your real-life opinions were on what rod works best for what applications. Also, I'd really like to get an idea of which ones might overlap a lot with each other and also with my existing rods. Of my current casting rods, three that will stay in the lineup for sure are an Orochi Braillist, a 172H Expride, and a 610M Expride.

And yes, in a perfect world, I'd happily keep all first gens, and buy the rest of the lineup while I was at it.... but I'm not so blessed lol

Thanks!

I have the Tour and two of the Diablo's.

I use the Tour for my t-rigs but would also use it for jigs if I didn't already use a Braillist for that.

My two Diablo's are used for swim jigs, chatterbaits, spinnerbaits, and some heavier deep diving crankbaits.

I love my Orochi's...........all my rods except for one are Orochi's.

1st gen Orochi xx?  The EMTF is a different animal between gen 1 and 2.

Sorry, I forgot to mention they were all perfect condition first gens, which is partly why I wanted them so much

awesome, thanks for the input! would you say the DR’s action is moderate enough to also use for cranking or definitely more of a spinner/chatter type of rod? also, any experience with the Tour Veratile at all?

I used to have a gen1 Tour Versatile. It was a great general purpose heavy rod. I used it for frogs/toads, single hook reaction baits, and buzz baits.
