Does the lake insight feature show lake contours or would you also have to purchase the navionics chip for the lake contours?

    Mine shows lake contours, but I would suggest getting the Navionics chip because the Lowrance HDS Insight map isn't very accurate or detailed.

You definitely need the Navionics East chip. Be sure to go to their website to verify that your lakes are on the chip. Don't buy new either. those Platinum chips can be bought on the internet used for around 80.00.
