When I do, It’s 1 part anise and 3 parts baby oil.

I have never used a scent on any lure. Is it really effective? What would go well with shakey head and T rigged plastics?

I can't answer which smell would be effective there. I can say there was 3 of us in a boat just drifting and dipping grubs in the water. The 2 guys that used it (myself being one of them) walked off the lake with 7 keepers between us in about an hour, while the guy who didn't and ranted about how useless the stuff was got skunked.

Whatever scent that have on them in the bag. Some of them, Berkley Chigger Craw for example, have a scent that lasts. They smell like a seafood restaurant dumpster. Others, have a scent on them, but not in them. I've been using the Rage Craw and Rage Bug lately. I don't notice any difference in bites or quality. They still usually bite it and swim around with it until it dawns on me the line's moving.

But I like the smell of anise. I also like black licorice. Maybe I should use a T rigged licorice whip.

Megastrike on plastics, nothing on hard baits.

Smelly Jelly in the Bass Feast scent.  I called the company a few years ago asked the shelf life of it.  The answer...Forever.

Is Smelly Jelly a consideration? Certain SJ products have really produced for me.

Smelly jelly rules.

I only put scent juice in the bag when the baits smell like a chemical factory. Other that I don't bother. And I typically don't rebuy whatever brand that was.

Typically none but I picked up some Hot Sauce I'm gonna try out this year.

This has been working for me better than Megastrike has,  recently anyways.

Where did you source that now? I see it's a AU only product currently.

On a very hot day I got a face full of it from my buddy's backcast. It was revolting,  but he swears by the stuff!

I use nothing. I think if I was fishing for bigger money though that I would. Just in case.

Fishsticks for soft baits, in minnow & crawdad.

I could use the Shad scent, but we have no shad in our lake, so I don't want to confuse the bass :)

Yep, I bought some to use last year. March and April it worked great. One day in May or so I opened it up and commenced to pour it all out on the carpet. LOL

Yes only available in the Australia region for now, you might be able to order it but I'm sure it will cost an arm and a leg, I have a buddy that gets stuff from overseas in high volumes and he got me a case of it.
