I wore a uniform so some people saw me from a distance and assumed I was enforcing laws.  After I told them what I was doing, they were much more willing to offer some information.  A few people still didn't care to talk to me though.  I wondered if it was because they had illegally-harvested fish or just didn't like disclosing certain information, etc.

On the lake I fish most I speculate  about 5 fish per hour and thats counting down time when I'm not fishing . When I get on them though , its mad .

My favorite day was 15 smallmouth, 8 over 5lbs. I have caught more fish and

bigger fish, but never had a better combination of both size and quantity.

On average, I'd say probably 5-10 an hour is average for most of the lakes I fish. I'd trade those smaller fish in for big bites though. Last week I only caught 4, but 2 were big fish. That's a much more memorable day for me. Last time I went I'd caught 10 or 11 but considered it a pretty unsuccessful day until I caught a 5 pounder 30 minutes before I had to leave.

1 bass per hour if things are going right and it's like the middle of summer or something hahaha.

 

I've had days where I catch 3 in 15 minutes and 1 in 5 hours. 

 

My ratio is awful lol.

On my local ponds I average a good fish every 1 1/2 hours. I rarely catch any small

bass. At Pickwick and other big water, the numbers are better, but the size can be

challenging, mostly 3-4 lbs. Much better quality for me below the dam on the river.

years ago we had 70 by noon cause conditions were perfect. Little bit of current and cuts flowing clear water. Then most other days I’d go home ready to shatter a plate or ten
