cioudsix Posted January 22, 2021 Posted January 22, 2021 Cant find a price on this thing, anyone have an idea how this thing is priced? Also Is this an improved version of the '16 Antares or built for big baits like the '18 Antares MD Quote
Swinghead Posted January 23, 2021 Posted January 23, 2021 Are the ones from Japan made better or are they the same thing? Are cost the same? Quote

The Calais was the US version of the Antares but that was discontinued in 2015 . So now the Antares is a JDM distributed product only. Quote

freelancer27 Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 Here some pics that I extracted from a Japanese IG account: Does not look like the 2021 Antares is smaller than the 2916 Antares DC. Which is quite disappointing tbh. Quote
Maico1 Posted February 4, 2021 Author Posted February 4, 2021 According to Jun Sonoda of Japan Tackle it is the 19 Antares version with DC. Looking at those pictures the 21 is definitely a smaller reel. His quote:Jun's comment: DC version of 19 Antares has debut. Quote
FrankN209 Posted February 4, 2021 Posted February 4, 2021 But at 700.00, that's just too much... Quote

I had the 2016 Antares DC and I have fished the 2019 Antares. There are miles between the size of these reels. The picture here seem to show that the 2016 and the 2021 Antares DC are almost the same size. 2021 seems to be even a bit higher, but shorter than the 2016. Quote
