I will be fishing Menantico Ponds with a kayak tomorrow. I've only been there twice and fished the banks.

Does any one have any tips for locating the deep areas? I'm stumped on finding any hydrographic maps for this spot.

Any help is appreciated!!!

Nice perch.  Topo maps are available, but don't show the water depth in the ponds.  One thing you might try  is using the satellite view in Google maps.  I do that to check out lakes I'm not familiar with.  You can get an idea of what the ponds look like.  You can see the deeper areas by the change in water color, even see some of the structure.

Navionics has some contours on it's webapp sonar chart, but there aren't many as it looks rather shallow.

I did. Perch, small lmb, and a chain pickerel. Overall nice fishing outing until the rain got heavy. I like that place. Quiet and lots of opportunities from either the banks or the yak. Now that I know the deep spots I'll have more confidence. Felt blind when I first went there.
