I have a few jerkbaits with broken bills. A post on facebook suggested Megabass  would replace the baits if I pay shipping. Does anyone have experience doing this? Image may contain: people playing musical instruments, water, outdoor and nature

I own several vision 110s and never had a problem. But did you receive them broken out of the package or the problem occurred after using them?

I broken some bill by casting Rapala and some crankbait  too far on rocky banks,  but my fault

I had some relatively Rapala jerkbait bills break. Rapala is sending replacements after I sent back the broken ones, receipt and their warranty form.

Yes ive broken a couple megabass jerkbaits.  Definitely not a good feeling on baits that cost 25 bucks but its a pay to play game with them. Yes they will replace them they'll have you remove all the hardware and send it in and they'll send u a new one. Not saying it shouldn't happen but I've learned to be a little more gentle with them and will continue to use them.

In response to your inquiry, we first want to thank you for your support and for reaching out to us. Like most manufacturers, we have no formal replacement policy or warranty on lures. Instead, we examine each instance on a case-by-case basis, in order to better understand your specific concerns. We value your feedback and will gladly examine your lure in greater detail to determine the next course of action, be it repair, replacement, or proper usage information. However, please note there is little that can be done if your product exhibits excessive wear or signs of impact.

If you wish to send in your lure, please remove any hooks, and be sure to package your items carefully (a lure placed in a paper envelope, for example, may tear and get lost in transit). Please remember to include one completed Product Feedback Form (attached) with each item. Items that are received without an accompanying form will not be processed, and will be promptly returned to you.

Please allow 1-2 weeks from the date your package is sent for an official reply, as we are a small office and require sufficient time to give your feedback the attention it deserves.

Sincerely,

Customer Service

How did the bills break?

I get they are expensive, like many fishing items are, but I wouldn’t try and get something replaced if it was something I did that was blatant.  Throwing against rocks, slamming a rod tip in a car door, etc...

If it just flew off in the middle of a cast, that’s a different story.

Fishing over timber? 36 degree water? I'm not sure. I've had the baits swell on me but the bill breaking is new.

I had a 100 bill break recently from weeds (they die late in TX). Tried to pop it out of the weeds and it came, but the bill stayed. I got the same letter as posted above, so I mailed it back. We'll see - the bait was otherwise in pristine shape. I expect they'll send another one, as it seems like weeds shouldn't be dangerous.

While working p/t at BPS, we had several people return Megabass jerkbaits with broken bills. They had purchased them from us and it all happened within about a six month window. We all thought that it was a bad run.

We replaced them via the return policy. Any non BPS product have a 30 day replacement warranty, at least they did when I worked there.

Send the lures in following the detailed instructions.

What have you got to loose but postage.

I have had several break. Some have even broken in a Plano Tackle box.

Never experienced bill failure on these baits.

I do make some effort to store them securely with "bills up" or with the box flat.

I have 6 in the basement that I plan on replacing the lips. These will be my first MB jerkbaits but I have replaced broken bills on crankbaits before.

First time I broke a Vision .... unfortunately the back trebles stayed with a giant.   Broke right at the boat.  I may try the warranty.   Loved that one; accounted for more fish than any other jerkbait I've owned.

Pretty sure that's not a 110. The eye and body are different.
