I live in Chicago, and received my rod in 3 days, it was shipped from the location in Georgia.

It cut down about 5 days fromĀ  shipping it from Cali.

Good news for the midwestern and east coast people.

Georgia might not have had it in stock but California did...so they shipped it from there.

That's great news.Ā  I live just outside Chicago so like the potential speed up.

My last order with TackleDirect, they were very nice to me.Ā  They broke out the rod and sent it Fed-Ex P2, and put the sundries in SurePost.Ā Ā

I didn't even know they had an east coast location in the mix. That is pretty sweet! If I need something in a hurry it should now be a bit more affordable.

I live in PA, and my order of a rod from Tackle Warehouse arrived on the next day. Apparently, they also have a warehouse location in PA.

One of my latest Rods came from the Georgia location.. TW was about to send a replacement rod, but it finally showed up. Shipping is way hit or miss anymore.

Just for clarify Tackle Direct is not part of Tackle Warehouse. Tackle Direct is also geared more for salt water fishing.

Ā

of course it's an unrelated company and always with excellent customer service.Ā  They hunted down my Crowder rod from another vendor and drop-shipped it in April when no one else could get anything.Ā Ā

I didnā€™t even know it was up and running yet. Glad to hear. Shipping from California is painfully slow.Ā

Iā€™m in CA. They use a small local shipper that gets me stuff so quickly. Ā 1-2 days.Ā
Ā

FishUSA, all bets are off. Ā Last time I thought I would have to sacrifice a goat or something to get my stuff on time. Ā

"Shipping from California is painfully slow."

Ā

I think part of the national problem is that the shipping companies are only taking a limited number of packages per day from some of the major sellers because the systems are flat out clogged. Everything else is left sitting on the loading dock for the next day.

Ā

Otoh, I ordered a laptop on sale the beginning of last week from hp.com and spec'd a few things, but nothing fancy or expensive. It's just a 17" Envy model with a couple of minor upgrades. They started it the end of the week, printed the shipping label Saturday and said it would be delivered Monday the 18th. It came this morning, the 12th. It was shipped from the factory in KunshanĀ China. That's next door to Shanghai. FedEx can be very, very good.

My wife bought me a 10% offĀ e-mail gift certificate on Thursday the 7th before the TW sale ended.Ā She has an order number and "shipping date" of 1/13.

Ā

TWĀ must be slammed with orders. It's okay though, they've always come through andĀ I haven't decided if I want a Conquest 842C or a Megabass P5Ā Z-Crank Elseil. I love my wife. Ā :)

Hard for me to ***** about shipping times for my tackle when the shipping companies are tasked with moving much more important cargoĀ around the world right now.Ā
Ā

It will Ā all get better with time.Ā

I just double-checked my rod order. It did come in the next day, but it's actually a dropship directly from the manufacturer. Sorry!

I put a order in last night and got the notification it was in the mail this afternoon.

I typically don't get bent up about shipping times anymore. Amazon Prime spoiled me with 2-3 day shipping and I went through a phase where I thought that should be the norm...2 kids later and I'm just glad I can order diapers and wipes on line after Baby's R Us went belly up.

Alpharetta, I believe.Ā

It is Alpharetta, about 1/2 an hour north of Atlanta. Either in a forum board here or on their website they indicated that they wouldn't have it open for retail at first.Ā

Perhaps, but the issue is much greater than TW.Ā  The entire fishing industry is WAY behind in fulfilling orders.Ā  There's a major, major backlog across all product lines....anything fishing related.Ā  Some companies won't have any new inventory in stock until July.

Ā

This issue started back in March and has only been getting worse.
