Gussy Gettin 'er done!

Martin and Canterbury having a good day too!

I think this was my worst result ever. I have one guy fishing tomorrow, my bucket E pick.

Anyways, I'm rooting hard for Gussy. He's come close a few times. Hopefully it works out for him and this is his breakthrough.

Again - better this time. My A, B, D, and E picks all move on to tomorrow.

Oof.  I've got Welcher and Auten in the 30s, fishing tomorrow; everyone else going home including....Lester, of all people.

Should have just printed out the bucket lists, taped them on the wall, and thrown darts blindfolded.

I have 3 going into tomorrow and am at #16 overall. But in all likelihood tomorrow won’t be kind.

Today is not looking good - only one of my four fishing has caught anything so far. I know it's still fairly early in the day, but really?

I actually made a mistake yesterday. I didn’t see that Robertson made the cut, so I actually have 2 guys fishing today. He has 4/5 keepers and is about 4lbs away from the top ten cut so far. Hope he can make it in. And go Gussy!!  ??

Well, I slipped in tomorrow with Hackney and Christie. I need them on their A game.

A side note to the tournament.

I was waiting for the weigh-in to start and they were showing highlights of fish catches from the top 10.  For some reason, I noticed the difference in the hookset & landings done by two truly great anglers, Steve Kennedy and Jason Christie.

Christie set the hook while fishing a spinnerbait, on his toes but balanced, back arched.  He swiftly boat lifted the fish as it approached the gunnel, deftly catching the line & controlling the bass.  Conversely, Kennedy, fishing a swim jig I believe, set the hook flat footed, looked as if he almost fell over and had happy feet as he battled the fish.  He bounced the bass into the boat, missing the line and having the fish end up at his loafer shoed feet.

Christie has an athletic background, having played basketball in college while Kennedy is a former engineer and apparent spaz.  Very different physical abilities, yet both are legendary success's on the elite tour.

Pretty diverse sport...

I’ve seen Kennedy spaz out before too. He does that sometimes

Christie even said “don’t show that catch, I felt goofy” then Dave Mercer says “just watch Kennedy’s catch”

he even lost hold of the rod and reel at one point during a boat side strike. Then he lost a really big fish that would’ve helped a little a couple minutes before weigh in downtown. He said he was having so much fun he couldn’t settle down!! Love it

I saw that .Also   Whitaker backlashed so bad he had to put the rod and reel away . Hackney made an overhand cast under a bridge and hit the bottom of it . One of the guys hit his cameraman with a lure . We're all screw-ups .

Man, he and I both wished he landed that one fish. ?

I think he would have still came in second and gotten paid the same. But it would have made it more interesting! Cool to see a few guys fish near takeoff, even if it was only for a couple minutes because they made it in early. That’s where I live and fish

Sitting at 10th! Hackney did me well. I think i'dve probably even broken top 5 had Clunn done a little bit better than he did. Can't complain though, two in the top 10 ain't a bad finish by any means.

Only had one guy make it to Day 4 but, I ended up with 1114 points, so not too bad. It moved me up to 9th.
