He's already lost 3 good fish this morning already, but he's already over 15 pounds. He needs a haircut, badly. His hair is literally slowing him down when he punches the throttle. Just imagine how much more of a lead he would have if he got a haircut. 4 Quote

Super User Jrob78 Posted July 16, 2021 Super User Posted July 16, 2021 Pretty good day 1, need Hartman to step it up. Quote
Super User scaleface Posted July 16, 2021 Super User Posted July 16, 2021 Bernie Shultz is on fire . I hope he can keep this up for four days . 1 Quote

It's purely science. Shultz is literally fishing to not get booted from the Elites. I hope he can sustain. 2 Quote

How are they making the selections , on who gets cut next year ? I cant find it anywhere . I even started a post asking . Nobody seems to know . Quote

What’s interesting about this SLR tournament is that the winner will automatically qualify for the classic, even if they are not in the projected cut for it. So if Schultz wins, he qualifies for the classic and I assume that would save his career on the elites? Quote

I cant find it anywhere . I even started a post asking . Nobody seems to know . This was posted by someone else on another message board: From all I've read and heard on BTL and other sources, my understanding is this: * The Elites started 2021 with 100 and will be at 100 for 2022. * 95 Anglers will fish the final event this week. * This season 2 have dropped out and given up their eligibility for next year: Tyler Carriere and Brett Pruett * This season 3 have been granted medical exemptions and can return when healthy: Rick Morris, Clent Davis, and Gary Clouse * 2021 rookies and 3 legends are exempt (legends are Clunn, Fritts, & Yelas) * For 2022, 12 open anglers will offered Elite qualification. * So it all 95 current elect to return, and the 3 medical exemptions return, and all 12 open anglers accept, that puts the total at 110. So 10 have to go. * Based on the 2 year rolling average in AOY points, these are the 10 cuts: Kyle Monti, Kelly Jaye, Dale Hightower, Robbie Latusco, Harvey Horne, Shane Lineberger, Rob Digh, Quentin Cappo, Cody Hollen, Garrett Paquette * Some may save their careers with a good finish this week. Others in jeopardy are: Bill Weidler and Chris Groh *Morris has also stated that he's out next season. He's having hip surgery and is turning 60. He will likely hang it up. 2 1 Quote

Super User MN Fisher Posted July 16, 2021 Super User Posted July 16, 2021 Well, three of my guys made it to tomorrow - with Seth still in the top-10. Llama rules! Super User MN Fisher Posted July 17, 2021 Super User Posted July 17, 2021 Well, this is in the can - let's see if he can win the last tournament of the year. 1 Quote

Super User MN Fisher Posted July 17, 2021 Super User Posted July 17, 2021 Whelp - the Llama stumbled. Seth missed the cut-off for tomorrow...I don't think I have anyone in the final. Quote

Super User scaleface Posted July 19, 2021 Super User Posted July 19, 2021 I finished third in the group . The best I have done by far . Was leading until the last tournament . Nebass78 and I was battling it out for the top spot then from out of nowhere rgbtr196le sprinted past us finishing the season with successive 1200 point finishes . The season went fast . Its going to be a long wait until next year . 2 Quote

Its going to be a long wait until next year . Unfortunately, longer than usual with no AOY Championship. I landed at 16th in the group this year, 90.6% overall. This is always more fun than it seems like it has any right to be. With the "Drain the Lake" game I finished at 98.2%, 260th overall...not too shabby! I like the format, but it's going to be much harder next year with a whole season's worth of events to distribute anglers amongst. 2 Quote
Rpratt Posted July 19, 2021 Posted July 19, 2021 After 3 good tournaments in a row, I tanked the last one. Par for the course I guess since not only did I finish in 666th overall place in the Drain the Lake league, but my paycheck this week was also 666.... 1 1 Quote

Super User fishballer06 Posted July 19, 2021 Author Super User Posted July 19, 2021 Well, another year of Fantasy Fishing has come and gone. I can't tell you guys how much I always look forward to talking with you guys leading up to events, during the events, and then recapping them afterward. This game really is a ton of fun I think for all members no matter how good or bad you may think your picks may be. For 2021, we had 71 members play along, 48 of whom played in every single event. I love that we have this many people playing along. For me personally, I think this was the worst season I have every had in fantasy but I still had a blast regardless. Now for our 2021 Top 5 players: 1st - rgbtr196le - 10,478 2nd - nebass78 - 10,379 3rd - scaleface - 10,365 4th - Fish forrest fish - 10,363 5th - sschrad - 10,295 Congrats to rgbtr196le for his season win! I believe he was in 4th or 5th place going into the final event and he killed it in the final event to take home with season championship. Waiting until January for the 2022 season is going to be a long wait. Hopefully all of you return and we gain even more new players. 5 Quote

You'll see nothing but 'zeros' for him this round. Won't this tourney be wiped away with the covid exemption thingy? Quote
