When I was making my picks, I noticed that there aren't as many anglers to pick from in this event.  Is that because some of the regular Elites didn't qualify for the Classic?

Correct, classic is usually 50 something competitors and 3 days instead of 4

Being the water is high with lots of flooded cover , I changed almost my entire line-up .

Already twice this morning I heard pros ask spectator boats to please move and saw one go between Kennedy and the bank he was fishing .  Sheesh!

Glad to see Steve Kennedy to doing well so far. I wouldn't be mad at all if he won it all.

Me neither.

Side note:  Does he have any other sponsors, other than for boat stuff?

Patrick Walters seems to be catching them.

Looks a super fun lake to fish.

Why isn't Lee Livesay fishing?  He won Chick last year.

I dont think Elite winners automatically qualify like the Opens winners . They have to finish high in the Angler of the Year standings .

Haven’t had much of a chance to watch bass live for the classic. I’ve got 3 guys fishing today starting at 24th, 5th and 2nd. Pretty decent

Well, Seth snuck into the final at 25th and two others made it as well at 6 and 19 so not terrible. See how they do today.

Didn't do as bad as I thought I would - especially when the Llama came in last for today.

Though he's still got a commanding lead in AOY points

Steve Kennedy is a no frills kinda guy. He's been fishing the elites for a long time and has never repped a bunch of logo's. I remember whenever he won in 2017 on Dardanelle, he literally only had Bass Cat and the Auburn U logo on his plain, baby blue jersey. He won that event swimming a white swim jig in a flooded cove full of bushes using an old Bantam Curado from probably around the turn of the century.

So seeing him with a Lowrance, Power Poles, and Lithium Pros logo is a big upgrade :laughing5:

On another note, congrats to Hank Cherry for winning it back to back! What an accomplishment to do, especially after watching Kennedy whack them on day one.

I wonder just how many fish got weighed in on this thing...

Seems right up @Bluebasser86's alley

He was throwing it the last day looking for a megabag. His weights also dropped the last day, so I'm guessing not many fish were weighed on it.

I saw him throwing it, it was really fun to watch.  Similar to fishing a slammer?

Yeah, rats tend to knock more and float higher though.
