I think a 12th place finish should be enough to keep him in first in the AOY race.

Yes - moving up in the ranks. Now if my three remaining people can pull ahead.

I've finally done it. I picked the guy who finished dead last...

Kelley Jaye, way to go bud. You've got multiple top 10 finishes in the state of Alabama and a few more top 30's.

I picked Jaye too. If Wes Logan wins, I'll have both Worst and First on the same team.

I also chose both Logan and Jaye. The rest of my team didn't do too great.

Wow, great event for you, even considering Zaldain.

OK, so I am happy with my Drain the Lake performance so far.  I had Logan, so I once again got the huge bonus for picking the winner of the tournament and having Christie & New helped get me to just under 2000 points for the event.  After 2 events, I am in 157th, feeling pretty good about my position.  So I check out my wife's score.

She is in 31st, 156 points ahead of me.  She didn't even know it until I showed her.  How can I win a fishing trip with Zona when I can't even be the high score in my own household?!?

With the huge bonus you get for picking an event winner (additional 300 pts for the 5 regular events, additional 600 pts for the Classic), I am thinking it will take getting at least 5 of the six event winners to have a shot at this.  Interesting, the history at Guntersville & the 2 northern stops may make picking the winner with your 8 choices very doable.  That would make the Classic the tougher one, but the smaller field again makes it not out of the realm of possibility.

I'm impressed - maybe I can do it again for Guntersville.

Neely Henry is officially in the books. nebass78 crushed this event with 1289 points and moved himself up to 2nd place in the group. We've got 8 days until Guntersville, so don't forget to make those picks.

I took a huge jump

1303 pts for the Neely Henry event, moved from 52nd to 12th in the group.

The three of mine that made to day 4 placed 2, 3, and 6 - Seth just missed the cut and ended up 12th

All-in-all, I'm very happy with this - especially considering it's my first year and I don't know most of the guys out fishing.

I'm moving up a bit, had my best fantasy outing of the season so far. Hopefully I can keep it going.

I'm digging DTL too. I'm at 281st.

If anything, for the Classic it seems like it should be easier to pick the winner for your team than usual, as long as you plan ahead and choose other events with the classic in mind.  It certainly hasn't seemed more difficult to choose the classic winner recently compared to a typical elite event...the first year I played fantasy was 2016, and since then have picked the classic winner for my team 3 out of 5 times: I had Evers at Grand Lake (2016), Lee at Hartwell (2018), and DeFoe at Tennessee River (2019).

Mines looking very similar so far, we have the same picks for buckets C, D & E. I considered Hartman for bucket C but Downey has been pretty good since he joined the elite series and had good finishes both times he fished Guntersville, though they were in different times of the year. He seems like a really good shallow water fisherman and I’m thinking that will play a bit.
