Super User Jigfishn10 Posted January 9, 2021 Super User Posted January 9, 2021 Low 40*’s next week with sun. Keep that white fluffy stuff down south where it belongs. ? Quote

DanielG Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 We're getting diddlysquat up here in Maine. So far a disappointing winter. Still time though Quote

Way north bass guy Posted January 9, 2021 Posted January 9, 2021 Man, 4”” up here and you don’t even get the snow brush out for the truck, just hit the wipers once and off to work. Although so far this year we’ve only had about a total of 12”, that’s about a third of what we should have by now, not that I’m complaining ? 2 Quote

Just keep in mind where it’s coming from. lol just a dusting for us too. Won’t even cancel school but it’ll shut the hole state down , in Tennessee. Quote
Super User MN Fisher Posted January 9, 2021 Super User Posted January 9, 2021 4" here and people just grumble. Halloween Blizzard of 1991 - I still drove the 20miles each way to and from work all three days of the event...in a RWD sedan. Quote
Super User .ghoti. Posted January 9, 2021 Super User Posted January 9, 2021 People down south must huddle and make cheese when a little snow comes to town. Why else would you buy all that milk? Quote

Global Moderator Bluebasser86 Posted January 11, 2021 Global Moderator Posted January 11, 2021 We were supposed to get 6" of snow last week and they were talking like it was the end of the world. Seems like when I was a kid I remember there being 6-10" snowstorms every winter ?♂️. 2-4" is barely enough to worry about cleaning off the driveway. Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 11, 2021 Author Super User Posted January 11, 2021 The blizzard fizzled out. Light rain with temperatures in the high 30's, low 40's. Quote
Global Moderator TnRiver46 Posted January 11, 2021 Global Moderator Posted January 11, 2021 We are getting snow again Quote
Super User bulldog1935 Posted January 11, 2021 Super User Posted January 11, 2021 snowed all day heavy in San Antonio yesterday - even though both air and ground temps were above freezing - it came down fast enough it accumulated before it could melt. I had a dozen tamales in the steamer and grazed on them through the day. Clear and bright today. 3 Quote

Super User Bankbeater Posted January 12, 2021 Super User Posted January 12, 2021 I don't worry too much about snow any more. It's the freezing rain and the other drivers that I worry about. 1 Quote

Super User J Francho Posted January 13, 2021 Super User Posted January 13, 2021 What is this "snow" you speak of? Quote

If funny because the radio apparently had to start calling it “freezing fog” to keep things fresh. However it’s snow, on the ground and falling from the sky haha. I think they are also trying to cover their butt for not predicting any snow Quote

Super User bowhunter63 Posted January 13, 2021 Super User Posted January 13, 2021 I live in the Ozarks A dusting means endless cars in the ditch and no milk or bread for milk bread sandwiches. Never had one but there has to be something to it. 2 Quote
