Wondering what people’s opinions of these jerkbaits are? I haven’t seen them really mentioned from what I’ve read on here. I bought one last year but hardly fished it. Hooks are sticky sharp but in the one outing I used it, it lost one of the glued on eyes. Kinda left a bad taste in my mouth. Just curious what other people’s opinions are of them.

I'll let you know after the season starts up again in May. I got 3 cutters in a package deal a couple months ago - but season for me was already over.

I don’t know about that particular brand but I bet the missing eye won’t effect performance, might help . I think @Bluebasser86has tried the cutter jerkbaits

Bass are predators and they look for the weak and easiest meal, maybe they will see Ol one eyed Johnny and think he's an easy meal.

They're good baits. I have lots of baits missing one or both eyes that keep on catching.

I have tried a few.  The Skinny Cutter 110+ Shallow best fits my needs.  Out of the package mine have suspended slightly nose down and required minimal tweaking.

The eye is cosmetic.  I wouldn't base my opinion on a little bit of adhesive failing.

I also wouldn't compare this lure to a Megabass, which IMO is the standard in the jerkbait category.  But, it is a player at it's price point.  Keep at it and good luck!

Thanks for the input fellas. And I should have clarified in my original post but I wasn’t necessarily worried about fish not wanting it because it was missing an eye but it just seemed “cheap” but maybe thats just me.

and @DitchPanda, let me know if you’re up this way when the waters open and want to try to do some fishing

Basically my thoughts.  Tried a couple last year and they're decent for their price. I have several visions so they don't get much play.  For the money I'd give em a chance at least.  I think personally it's a confidence deal.  Whatever you happen to be throwing when they want a jerkbait is gonna seem legit. Just seems like the visions get bit when others won't. Never gave the cutter enough of a chance im sure because my confidence is elsewhere

Once in the water, Fall walleye ate them willingly.  Without a long-cast weight transfer system they tumbled often during the cast...

Interesting, didn’t think about that. Can’t say I noticed in my short experience with them.

still, for $8 might have to grab a couple more to try out this spring

I can confirm. This bait does work better when it's in the water as opposed to out of the water. ;)

I can say I'm not a fan of the skinny cutter. There is no weight transfer system in them and they tumble through the air.  Resulting in tangles with the line often.

The regular cutter 110 and 90 size i like.  They have a wider side to side darting action than some other baits. The action is similar to a x-rap but alittle wider to the side on the jerks.  Plus the 110 size seems to get down a little deeper than similar jerkbaits.

I threw them last year with decent results.

The Berkley Cutter has been my #1 jerkbait especially in shallow water, and they don't break the bank.
