The Storm shads are better IMO. They're softer so they have a better swim at slower speeds.

Pearl/chartreuse, shad, and baby bass have been my best colors. I don't fish them for bass often but wipers love them.

Please sorry about hitting the double quote because it isn/t my intention to quote anyone right now.

I've wondered from time to time how those pre-rigged bait would work on an A-rig but that is just another thing that I haven't experimented with yet, and isn't on my top ten to experiment with.  Should anyone ( in the past or in the future ) experiment with these pre-rigged baits, I'd be interested in what happened.

Bluebasser86,

Thank you, for your information.

Fishes in trees,

That's what I'm trying to find out.

The Wildeye Shads were good when they first came out.  The started using lower grade hooks and cut the number of baits in half per bag but still charged the same price.  I like to throw them for stripers, but if there are blues or any other toothy fish around, one hit can ruin a bait.

Rusty Shackleford,

Thank you, for that information. That's good to know. Please take care and stay safe.

I have had quite a bit of success the past several trip south of the border

throwing 5 & 6 inch storm wild eye shad.

I fish pearl/white mostly and then use spike-it paint pens to color them up.

A sexy shad type pattern has been killer.

A-Jay,

Thank you, for that great bit of information. I know, I don't have any as large as you were throwing. I will have to pick up a couple. You take care and have a wonderful and safe day.

Bass just eat the Storm Wildeye swim shads. Once my oldest son had a horrible birds nest and a bass ate it when it was sitting still in the water, they just straight up catch fish. I haven't used the Berkleys so I can't comment.

My most productive colors have been the shad and olive shad. The 4" seems to work well for numbers in most situations, but early and late in the year a 3" can work - and of course a 5" and 6" will catch larger fish.

Boomstick,

Thank you, for that wonderful information. I will try to fine some Storm Wildeye Swim Shads in the shad and olive shad colors. Hope you have a wonderful and safe weekend.

I like both of them especially when fishing rip rap dams from bank . I  fan cast and let the lures sink to the bottom , then follow the contours back up with occasional pauses . Other lures work too ,  like lipless cranks but the prerigged swimbaits are cheap enough that I dont mind losing a few to the crevices .
