I'm hoping someone knows this body of water that my son and I fished last year in the Nevada area.  My son and I stayed at a hotel in Henderson Nevada and drove to Lake Mead.  Once the ranger said it costs $15 to enter the gate we asked if there was another place she could recommended to fish with a lower gate fee.   All I remember is she said to driver further down the road past Lake Mead to the 'Arizona' side.  We made a right off the highway to a windy downhill road and ran into a beautiful lake.  Not a bass in site, but they had stocked trout a day or so before and we had a blast.

Heading back to North Las Vegas next week and really want to fish for anything that will bite.  Here is a pic of the spot we were at.

thanks!!

If I The lake was south of Mead it would lake Mojave.

Thanks Tom.  I think I found the place called Willow Beach.

I know LM will be tough to come by out that way, but any pointers on stripers?  Where to fish and baits?  As always, we will be from the shore.

The big stripers are eating the rainbow trout you caught.

You need swimbait tackle for big lures.

The bass fishing is very good at Mojave but you need a boat or try around the boat launch area with a slip shot rig using Roboworms Mike  Falkstad Spl worms, good color at Colorado River lakes.

Is it legal to use the trout as bait? They work for striper live or dead, cut or whole

Can’t use any fresh water Game fish for bait live or dead in this region. Lower Colorado River Bluegill are allowed.
