Anyone ever try/have success with skirtless spinnerbaits with a soft plastic trailer? I fish in central florida on the east coast and have used them for sea trout and redfish with a single gold Colorado blade but was curious if it would be worth trying for bass.

Yes. Rig them up with a grub, plastic swimbait, fluke, etc.

What conditions/situations would you prefer a skirt less spinner bait over a skirted one?

I have tried a few times but the baits always come in sideways .I must not have the skills to rig them straight .  ?

@Jigfishn10  I assume you fill the hollow tube with a plastic worm to give bite to the hook shank to hold it in place on the spinnerbait?

I don’t fill the tube but I like the idea. I rig it just like a Texas Rig worm just in reverse.

I also like to rig it with the whole spinnerbait shaft and hook shank inside the tube with the hook Tex posed. Pretty wheedless.

Slow roll it on the bottom and hold on.

You may as well call it a rake rig. You’ll be raking bass up off the bottom like a spring cleanup in the back yard. ?

I don’t know when I’ll get time, work is pretty busy but I’ll pm you som pics

A bit late to the topic, But I used this lure with a white fluke trailer. I used it as a buzzbait and working it on a yo yo retrieve. My second largest  bass of the season 7lb 1oz was caught on the yo yo method.
