Super User Log Catcher Posted January 2, 2021 Super User Posted January 2, 2021 Probably a toss up for me between a crankbait and a spinnerbait. Both LMB and neither one big enough to brag about or weighing and measuring. 1 Quote
keagbassr Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Lmb. 6lbs 2oz. Smb. 3lbs 1oz. Both on the same white snagproof moss mouse. 2 Quote
billmac Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Didn't weigh it, but I'm guessing about a 3lb smallmouth on a Berkley flatworm. 1 Quote
JS Patterson Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 A 1/16 Ned rig was responsible for my best 3 LMB; 7-6, 7-4 and 6-4. Honorable mention goes to the shallow shad rap which tricked a couple more 5+ 1 Quote
Super User DitchPanda Posted January 2, 2021 Super User Posted January 2, 2021 Biggest small mouth was maybe 2.5lbs-came on a bluegill swimjig with a summer craw menace grub. Biggest largemouth was close to 7lbs-came on a 1/2oz chrome blue back Cordell spot. Quote

I had a good late fall here in New England but my better fish came cranking wood with the possum. How much do you pay for A baby possum? (I could be your new supplier, I’d probably take $1/apiece for em) 1 Quote
Big Hands Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 February 27, 2020. About 8 pounder on a Megabass Vision 110 from a lighted fishing pier at night. Saw the fish, tossed the bait out a ways past her. Gave it a couple rips, and stopped it. Then she charged about 8 feet over and CLOBBERED it! 4 Quote
Super User BrianMDTX Posted January 2, 2021 Super User Posted January 2, 2021 Between 6-7 lbs on <ahem> 1/2 a nightcrawler on a #6 hook under a bobber. As lures go, a 4.5 lb LMB on a watermelon with Copper and Orange with Red Flake 5” Senko wacky rig. 2 Quote
wdp Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 6.11 largemouth on Stanley Ribbit frog with a double take hook. 1 Quote
Super User jbsoonerfan Posted January 2, 2021 Super User Posted January 2, 2021 7-03 and 7-08 just 3 days apart, April 20th and April 23rd. First one on a green pumpkin red fleck baby brush hog and the second on a green pumpkin blue fleck baby brush hog. 6 Quote

Super User FryDog62 Posted January 2, 2021 Super User Posted January 2, 2021 5.83 LMB caught on a fluke skipped under a marina dock while waiting for my partner to show up. Also experimented more this year with a Berkley Snap Jig. It not only catches smallmouth, but other stuff too even though on the same ML rod, 8 lb test line and no net makes it a bit more challenging. Will never question the strength of Fusion hooks again! That epic battle will air on the Outdoor Channel later this month. 4 Quote
Super User Mobasser Posted January 2, 2021 Super User Posted January 2, 2021 My biggest bass wasn't really all that big. I think between 3 and 4 pounds. Mr. Twister Phenom worm, t rig, 1/8 oz weight, 3/0 Gamma hook. Color was motor oil 1 Quote
Super User whitwolf Posted January 2, 2021 Super User Posted January 2, 2021 I didn't catch anything remotely big but 100's in the 2-4 range. I could tell about the few I lost but that's for another day. I had a lot of fun and can't wait to retire to the swamps of Eastern North Carolina! 3 Quote
snake95 Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Nothing to brag about here, some guys on some waters catch them daily: I caught 3 largemouth weighted right at 4 lb even: 2 on weightless Xzone Core center sticks, 6" texposed green pumpkin. 1 on a Big Bite Baits jerk minnow. 3 Quote

Bigger too I think, aren't baby possums like actually super tiny? 1 Quote

We will call the live bait adolescent possum the “220” model . The baby ones stay in the pouch for a while, bout like the size of a pinky finger. Then they cling to moms back for a while, by that stage they would be the size of a Zara super spook 1 Quote
SK1 Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 6.8 LM on a PB&J stickbait was my best of the season. 1 Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted January 2, 2021 Super User Posted January 2, 2021 1/05/2020 Lake ToHo, FL Minnow under a balloon, over grass in about 6' of water 12.4 lbs Going back to Orlando at the end of this month. Plan to fish ToHo, and Stick Marsh/ Farm 13. 1 1 Quote
Super User Koz Posted January 2, 2021 Super User Posted January 2, 2021 My two biggest LMB were both just under 7 pounds (still haven't cracked 7) and both caught on a Strike King buzzbait in the Sexy Shad color. I caught a ton of 4 and 5 pounders on that as well. So much so that they destroyed two of them and I had to buy a third by the end of the summer. 1 Quote

Caught near the end of the season on a Siebert's jig with a Rage Bug trailer. 1 Quote
Dens228 Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 This year it was with a lipless crank in about 18 feet of water bouncing it just off the bottom. 1 Quote
Finessegenics Posted January 2, 2021 Posted January 2, 2021 Smallmouth : 4lbs 6oz No picture unfortunately since bass was out of season at the time. Caught her while walleye fishing in the spring and weighed her in the net very quickly and released her right away. When bass are out of season here, you must not intentionally target them and avoid keeping them out of water. I caught her on a 3” grub rigged on a 1/16 oz mushroom head. Largemouth: Weight Unknown No idea how much this thing weighed and I’m not even gonna try to estimate. Did not have my scale on me. All I know is it’s definitely my biggest as the other 5 (yes, 5) largemouth I caught this year we’re not even photo worthy. Caught this one fishing from shore in September. I was throwing a 3/8 Original Chatterbait in Carolina Craw with a homemade swimbait trailer. 3 Quote
