I got a 21” largemouth on a rapala husky jerk, probably my biggest bass of 2020. Biggest smallmouth was in April, can’t recall the lure though. Bitsy tube if I had to guess. I think the largemouth was just over 4&1/2 lb and the smallie was 4 even or so

Caught three largemouth between 4.5 and 5, couldn't quite get over 5. One was recently spawned out. A couple weeks earlier and it would have been a different story. Caught one on a finessed TRD, one on a big TRD, and one on a Yum Pulse Jr. Caught probably my top 5 or 6 fish of the year on spinning gear.

My biggest this year came on a 3/8oz Siebert brush jig. Its my primary pitching jig but I got my biggest fish swimming it over a brush pile. I didn't weigh her but I figure she fell somewhere between 4 and 5lbs.

This year, big bass of the year came very early - first trip - nothing bit the first two hours of the trip, decided to mess around with new gear, so I went down the lake dam throwing a half ounce spinnerbait.  ( The only reason I was going down the dam was that I wanted to stay out of the wind for a while ).  Anyway, 10 minutes into throwing the spinnerbait a 22"+ fish bit.   Didn't really fight, I drug it in and released it an it slowly swam away.   Other notable catches - I got several 20" fish on 10" worms, dropping them down next to tree trunks.   I got a 20" Channel Cat on a Brewer Slider jig head and 5" paddle tail worm.  Didn't get to fish any big reservoirs this year.

Nice! Two 7 lb in one year and I might consider retiring

5lb. 12oz., Mid July on a 6th Sense Clout in the Darkwater Bug color. 2 feet from the bank. Caught a 5lb. on a red craw jointed squarebill in the very exact spot in March. Never could scratch one out over 6. That’s my 2021 goal.

18" largemouth and 35 1/2" musky, both caught on the same lure; a 1/2 oz. Northland Reed Runner spinnerbait in chartreuse. Same rod and reel, too; St. Croix Mojo Bass Glass 7'-02"  H/M and a Shimano Tranx 300a with 15 lb. Big Game.

Bass came from inside a blowdown. Musky hit with absolutely no warning.

And people wonder why I like glass rods and cheap spinnerbaits .........   ?     jj

My two largest bass were both caught on the same 1/8 oz. Bitsy Bug jig with a craw trailer.

The 5-1/2 was caught along the edge of a drop off that had matted vegetation growing over it.

The 4-1/4 was caught on the outside edge of some water willows that were growing along a very steep drop off.

They were caught about 3 weeks, and around 200' apart.

Best largemouth ( about 4lbs), came on a Spro frog in about 2’ of water in some pads. Didn’t get out a bunch for green bass this year so I didn’t find many larger ones.
Best smallmouth ( a hair over 5lbs, and I got several that size in the same bait), came on a Maxscent Flatworm w/ 1/4oz drop shot in about 25’ of water.
Had to throw in my best pike of the year as well, 43” and super fat, smashed a 1/2oz Strike King KVD burner spinnerbait in 6’ of water on the edge of a steep, large point that drops into the abyss of Georgian Bay.

I am super jealous of that pike and smallie. Those are on my life goals. 40” Pike and 5lb. Smallie. Way to go!

Largest Brown bass was 5.88 lbs and came out of Lake Menderchuck.

She ate a SK KVD 300 Deep Jerkbait in Ayu.

Largest Green Bass came from south of the border. (Obviously)

She was 8.53lbs and ate a Zoom Super Fluke in Baby Bass.

And since we doing pike too apparently, (which I do believe is a fine idea btw)

my best was a rather thick mostly uncooperative representative

that totally choked a Megabass One Ten Silent jerkbait.

Also beat me up pretty good, as well as trash the Pro-V Bass boat.

I lived in your neck of the woods for 37 years and I never even seen a bass close to that. Good job!

My biggest was a brown bass from our river that went 21 inches. Got it on a mostly black 3/8 0z arky head jig in late May.

Number 2, 3 and maybe 4 at around 19" were on tubes rigged various ways.

I caught a bunch (including some nice ones) on a split shot rigged zoom finesse worm while trying to come up with something to compete with my wife's NED rig. LOL

I didn't catch many LMB this year but the largest was a little more than 18" and came on a "tiny child" rig in another small local smallmouth stream. The rig was a green pumpkin TRD with a small screw in worm weight on a size 1 EWG.

My best was a 5.81 LM caught just ten days ago on a jerkbait. My unofficial best was 5.86 back in June. She inhaled a small bluegill that I'd hooked on a small wakebait so I'm not sure that counts. Was really an eye opener though because it happened at rod's length. 2020 was my best year ever as far as numbers. It was also the third year in a row for bass caught in all 12 months. I'm trying to wish the ice off so I can keep the string going.

It was at a public lake near Chicago. Both were prespawn 4 days apart. I also got a couple 5 and a 6. Never caught so many big bass before.

Only able to fish for large mouth this year.  My biggest was on a spinnerbait.  I didn't have a scale, it measured 25 3/4 inches long.  A man fishing for Tilapia from the bank, was kind enough to help with some pictures.  The next biggest was 25 1/4 inch, 10.2 pounds, on a spinnerbait.  Also landed 25 inch or longer fish on buzz baits, square bill and a Rebel Jumpin Minnow.  My PB before this year was 5 1/5 pounds caught in 1977.  I hope I don't take quite so long to get another PB.
