I don’t know if this forum has been done before and am sorry if it has. I’m looking to buy a reel for small swim baits, big jigs, and for punching. I’m trying to decide between the tranx 200 and the curado k. I don’t care that much about the 20 dollar difference. I’m not going to fish saltwater. Which will last longer? Which is better quality? What do you guys think?

This would be an easy decision if salt water was a factor.  When it comes to the 200 size I buy Curado.  My buddy buys Tranx.  We both fish fresh water, and we both love our reels.  His reason for choosing Tranx over Curado is he started with the 300 size for larger baits, and the Curado 300 didn't exist at the time.

I realize that's not very helpful.  My point/suggestion is to get them both in hand and mounted on a rod of possible, and see which you prefer.  But, you would likely be satisfied with either.

Not really a wrong choice. Both are excellent reels. I own the Curado K and SLX MGL, like both of them. My next reel will be the Bantam MGL probably.
