5/0 Posted December 26, 2020 Posted December 26, 2020 Got this reel from Santy and will be pairing it with a GLoomis IMX MBR 784 (older generation). Will be using it for jig and worm fishing primarily. But it would do double duty for spinnerbaits, underspins, swimbaits (keitechs), and medium cranks. I’m debating spooling up with 40-50# braid, or 15# Abrasx. Would braid or Abrasx be the best choice? I’ve never used Abrasx and the reason I chose 15# was that it’s diameter is the same as the Yozuri Hybrid I use now for some of my setups. Thanks....Joe Quote
Super User roadwarrior Posted December 27, 2020 Super User Posted December 27, 2020 That will work just fine. Quote
Drew03cmc Posted December 27, 2020 Posted December 27, 2020 Abrazx is a great line. I've had it on several reels this year and love it. 1 Quote

Super User FishTank Posted December 30, 2020 Super User Posted December 30, 2020 Abrazx would be my choice but either one would be fine. Quote
Super User Boomstick Posted December 30, 2020 Super User Posted December 30, 2020 15# AbrazX would work great for all of those lures. Some people prefer InvizX because it's more supple and casts easier and the knot strength is a little better but not as abrasion resistant. If there's not a lot of rocks where you fish regularly, I would consider that. Quote
