Just ordered a Lews Custom Lite from Sportsmans Outfitters with gift certificates i got for Christmas. At 4.9 oz. Its really lite. I know I have preached against carbon frames  but this Tanso Tech stuff is supposed to be awesome. All the reviews I've  seen  have been great. Its going on a BPS 6ft 6in medium fast Patriot rod. This is an extremely ight combo. I use it for Ned rigs. Can't wait to get out on the water for it next year and write a review.

Please do that! But do two reviews; one in spring, when you find out how well you like it, and another in fall, when you find out whether it seems to have any decent degree of reliability and longevity.

I hope you realize that if it turns out to be a good investment of your time and money, that I'm going to say, "I told you so!", right?   ???

   Good luck!      jj

I'm a big fan of lews but this reel disappointed me. Didn't cast as well as I expected and just didn't wow me in any way. Paint chipped off extremely easy. For the $ id take a tournament pro all day over one. Hope for your sake your opinion is different.  Got mine for like 200 bucks and returned it almost immediately.  First lews I've had that I was that disappointed in.

I've had one since summer and like mine. It's a light right at 5 oz.

I have mine mounted on a old model poison adrena 6'10" med light. Super light combo.

I've only used it for lighter topwaters but could see it working well for other techniques.

No issues with mine so far but I baby my equipment. I feel its equal in quality to my Hypermag and Pro TI.
